...Here's me baps I will be wearing it for a work do, what do you reckon is the best way to accessorise it ? I'm thinking seamed stockings, not sure about shoe colour - black seems a tad dull and some sparkly earrings. I want to prove irrestible should any saucy single men cross my path ( deluded face )

That is a stunning dress! It needs a fantastic bra I think.

Accessories, hmm - earrings good. Don't think black would be a problem - the dress is going to be the focus!

Thank you, IHeartKingThistle, I'm a 34FF so that might be a bit tricky - I'm not sure I've thought this through properly - d'oh

That is gorgeous!

Too busy drooling to offer any advice :)

No I think you need those kind of boobs for that dress! Just need to make sure they're well supported Grin

Gorgeous dress Envy
I'd wear it with nude peep toes, and attach cherry shoe clips.
I am, however, not as stylish as the other posters so feel free to ignore me Grin

I like the thought of nude peeptoes as my stumpy little legs need all the lengthening they can get. I don't suppose anyone knows of a suitably supportive bra that has cups which won't show with that neckline ..

Lovely dress - very Joan Holloway! If it's for an Xmas/festive work do then I think bronze or old gold heels would look lovely with it - something like these maybe? www.marksandspencer.com/Autograph-Leather-Pointed-Court-Insolia%C2%AE/dp/B008RF2GD4?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_12&nodeId=42966030&sr=1-12&qid=1351954931&pf_rd_r=0MEME0RCE435KTRA64HE&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_i=0&pf_rd_p=321381407&pf_rd_s=center-3

Alternatively, if you did red lipstick and nail polish you could easily get away with a deep red pair like this: www.marksandspencer.com/Limited-Collection-Patent-Platform-Court/dp/B003FCNC50?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_1&nodeId=42966030&sr=1-1&qid=1351955193

Nude won't make your legs look longer if you are planning black stockings!

I'd wear black shoes tbh, I don't think nude would go very well.

Report
scentednappyhag · 03/11/2012 15:39

I read it as nude stockings with a black back seam? In which case nude heels would look lovely.
But yeah, black shoes with black stockings if I misread Smile

VolumeOfACone · 03/11/2012 15:42

Haha I read that as you were going to wear it to work. I was imagining you OP, different professions, turning up in that showstopper one Tuesday morning.

MsArseBiscuit · 03/11/2012 16:07

Oh god yes, I meant nude stockings with seams, and then nude or gold shoes, not black stockings with nude shoes - that would be a crime against fashion.

VolumeofaCone, yeah that dress would go down a storm with infection control at the hospital, although it does allow you to be naked below the elbows.

Lovely! I'd accessorise it with an updo from hairdressers, tights, makeup and a lovely bag. Very little jewellery. i bought a dress online thinking I would be all christina hendricks in it but it arrived and was gaping around the boobs. I looked more like peggy.

I'd wear purple shoes.

I have this dress in teal. It's gorgeous on. (I love the green but I'm so pale the green was shining off my skin and making me look ill.)

Wow! Fantastic dress - do you have red hair too? I would wear a wonderfully ott pair of statement earrings and a big costume jewellery ring but no necklace, let the boobs do the talking Grin

Ooh, now I'd forgotten about a bag. I'm an accessory bozo.

OMG I NEEEEEED THAT DRESS!!! It's beautiful OP Envy

I'd wear it with red lippy (lush do an amazing pigment that is just sensational) and black shoes and bag -I'm not interested in making my 35in legs look any longer! However that dress is screaming for stockings and suspenders OP you're going to look stunning!

Wow. Just. Wow. Stunning dress. And definitely more suited to a fabulously voluptuous lady.

WRT a bra, it would be worth considering a very pretty one which you wouldn't mind showing a glimpse of. You really don't want to keep hoiking up the top - which if you are trying to hide a run of the mill number you may feel the need to do. I would think a balconette style is what you need with that neckline. Perhaps even a basque beneath?

Purple shoes is genius! YES!!!

ujjayi · 03/11/2012 16:24

Oh and agree that no necklace required - go for fabulous earrings instead.

Sooooo jealous!!

MrsCumberbatch, I really really loved the teal but they didn't have it in stock, I am very pale but I usually suit green. I like the idea of purple shoes.
ISingSoprano, no I don't, I have dark brown hair but I'm as pale as a typical redhead ( my mum's a redhead ).

Purple would be gorgeous, especially with some purple costume earrings.
(so jealous of people who can wear purple Envy)

Purple shoe

I'd prefer a patent purple high heel but that seems to be a bit of a tall ask this season!

Thank you all so much for your help - Thanks.
Ujjayi - have you seen all the colours it comes in ? mmmmm - < enabler face >
I might treat myself to a Prima Donna balconette bra, I bought my first Prima Donna a few months ago and it's bloody marvellous - hoiking central.

suede purple

less of a heel I think these shoes are a tad grannyish but would fit in with a vintage look. I just wouldn't get much wear out of them with anything else.
