x post. I would have brought it in a heartbeat before children...it is a lot of money, it's an investment buy though would last a lifetime hopefully.

Can you ask for contributions towards it for Christmas?

I clicked on that link thinking no scarf is worth that amount of money. And I love scarves.

But OMG it is beautiful! The colour is just perfect, and love the stars too. Now I wish I could justify it! I would've bought that pre-children too.

Gosh, I was all geared up to say "159 quid ona bloody scarf! Get a grip and go to Accessorise!" but actually it is really lovely.
Some of these are quite nice, and I'll keep an eye open in Westfield today.

As soon as I saw the scarf I thought 'fuck it' and decided to treat myself. Then I saw the price and my heart sank.

It's all relative really. If you like it and can afford it and it will make you feel lovely then buy it. Life is too short.

If genuinely you will have to go without food to buy it, then ask for everyone who buys you a Xmas Pressie to chip in for it.

I love it. Really love it. The dark blue one for me please.

Blimey. When did scarves stop being long, narrow and knitted? To me, those pics look like a v attractive model has whipped the luxury throw from her five year old son's bed and draped it over herself.

I'm not ancient (41? Is that ancient) but I don't seem to understand the language of accessories any more.

Gloves. I know what gloves are.

Just thinking that mil is giving me £35 at Christmas and I could ask dm to reject my sensible ask for new wine glasses for a joint present for me and dp and put that money towards it then could surely find the other money from somewhere ........

Vix, you have found two very similar scarves which you like equally. One is 70 quid cheaper (aka half the price) of the other. You are broke.
Does this help your decision-making process?
Just in case you're still wondering, the answer is that you should google / shop for another 48 hours in hope of finding one for 40 quid or less, and if you don't, get the 70 quid one and a catering pack of baked beans.

haha mrsd Ive gone quiet on here as thats exactly what im doing, so far found 3 other alternatives, im just useless at decision making, showed my oh the scarf, and asked him how much he'd pay for it, he said £80 so told him to double it, he said well if i know you, you'll find it cheaper somewere else,

i am known as a bargain betty, which is why i cant bring myself to press the button for a £150 scarf Smile
