Promo code OCT10 for 10% off Not On The Highstreet until midnight tonight. That scarf is lovely, do it!!!

VIX1980 Sun 28-Oct-12 08:30:45

It is lovely, It works out £143 with the discount code, (thanks for that!!).

Can i still spend that much on a scarf, its more than my gas/electricity and water put together. 5 Years ago i wouldnt have thought twice but now i have a son ive changed for the worst and become all mrs sensible.

Ive become my mother sad.

HocusPocusPigInACaldron Sun 28-Oct-12 08:32:25

x post. I would have brought it in a heartbeat before is a lot of money, it's an investment buy though would last a lifetime hopefully.

Can you ask for contributions towards it for Christmas?

WeAreSix Sun 28-Oct-12 08:35:42

I clicked on that link thinking no scarf is worth that amount of money. And I love scarves.

But OMG it is beautiful! The colour is just perfect, and love the stars too. Now I wish I could justify it! I would've bought that pre-children too.

VIX1980 Sun 28-Oct-12 08:40:07

if i buy it now i can sell some stuff on ebay cant i, to get some of the money back, im sure people will want my used h&m crappy tops wont they?? i have lots.

<<pls say yes, i will buy it straight away as im so easily led>>

MrsVincentPrice Sun 28-Oct-12 08:41:16

Gosh, I was all geared up to say "159 quid ona bloody scarf! Get a grip and go to Accessorise!" but actually it is really lovely.
Some of these are quite nice, and I'll keep an eye open in Westfield today.

chimchar Sun 28-Oct-12 08:43:50

As soon as I saw the scarf I thought 'fuck it' and decided to treat myself. Then I saw the price and my heart sank.

It's all relative really. If you like it and can afford it and it will make you feel lovely then buy it. Life is too short.

If genuinely you will have to go without food to buy it, then ask for everyone who buys you a Xmas Pressie to chip in for it.

I love it. Really love it. The dark blue one for me please.

HocusPocusPigInACaldron Sun 28-Oct-12 08:44:03

these ones also on NOTH are nice not quite as nice but still nice and cheaper...

VIX1980 Sun 28-Oct-12 08:44:34

I do like those scarves mrsv i've seen lots that have been chiffon or voile though and really wanted a lovely warm one as ive always had cheapy ones in the past.

well ive entered my card details, only got to click complete and its mine, im so close....

Susieloo Sun 28-Oct-12 08:48:43

Buy buy buygrin I love it and I want one....... My pay has just been halved as am on sixth month of mat leave so can't buy it myself so please you buy it and wear it all the time and I can live vicariously through your purchase!!!!

MorrisZapp Sun 28-Oct-12 08:49:36

Blimey. When did scarves stop being long, narrow and knitted? To me, those pics look like a v attractive model has whipped the luxury throw from her five year old son's bed and draped it over herself.

I'm not ancient (41? Is that ancient) but I don't seem to understand the language of accessories any more.

Gloves. I know what gloves are.

Susieloo Sun 28-Oct-12 08:51:20

Just thinking that mil is giving me £35 at Christmas and I could ask dm to reject my sensible ask for new wine glasses for a joint present for me and dp and put that money towards it then could surely find the other money from somewhere ........

er no, wait all, its not that nice really is it (prays your dont all buy it and make it sell out before ive decided to buy it or not - cannot live through that, its like the s&g foot file all over again!)

what about this one i've found.. really cant decide now as i like them both

HocusPocusPigInACaldron Sun 28-Oct-12 08:55:35

You could register with their website they might send out offers, they had 15% off in September.

Lol @ MorrisZapp

MrsVincentPrice Sun 28-Oct-12 09:18:06

Vix, you have found two very similar scarves which you like equally. One is 70 quid cheaper (aka half the price) of the other. You are broke.
Does this help your decision-making process?
Just in case you're still wondering, the answer is that you should google / shop for another 48 hours in hope of finding one for 40 quid or less, and if you don't, get the 70 quid one and a catering pack of baked beans.

VIX1980 Sun 28-Oct-12 09:22:12

haha mrsd Ive gone quiet on here as thats exactly what im doing, so far found 3 other alternatives, im just useless at decision making, showed my oh the scarf, and asked him how much he'd pay for it, he said £80 so told him to double it, he said well if i know you, you'll find it cheaper somewere else,

i am known as a bargain betty, which is why i cant bring myself to press the button for a £150 scarf smile

VIX1980 Sun 28-Oct-12 09:22:34

*mrsv !

RonettePulaski Sun 28-Oct-12 09:30:19

It's a nice scarf, but aren't stars a bit ummmm passé? Although obvs stars are nice n all, and an actual shape so will always be as it were

I'm just tying to put you off, it is beautiful

O/t where does that code go on notonthehighstreet. I bought something the other day and not for the life of me could I see where it could be input

VIX1980 Sun 28-Oct-12 09:33:59

ronette yes i do believe they are (lies through teeth!)

i think you get to the page where you enter your card details and in small writing near the bottom it says pay with promotional code or gift cardm i entered it there and the discount was applied.

still staring at it and drooling. sad

SoggyMoggy Sun 28-Oct-12 09:35:34

NettoSpookerstar Sun 28-Oct-12 09:37:39
