some are some aren't

Caerlaverock Thu 25-Oct-12 18:09:41

Stupid concept though

AmberNectarine Thu 25-Oct-12 18:17:27

No, they are awesome...

tethersend Thu 25-Oct-12 18:30:53

I started a thread about them recently, that's how disgusted I was grin

They were the ones with a ^hidden wedge^- that's right, all the comfort of a wedge with the stylish look of a flat trainer. Er... What?

Karbea Thu 25-Oct-12 18:35:52

For someone who is 5ft tall I think they are amazing!

Caerlaverock Thu 25-Oct-12 18:44:38

like this

I think the majority aren't nice but some are. If I wear flat trainers I feel like my feet look too big like I'm an L shape if I stand to the side as I have skinny ankles. I tried on these and I felt like they looked more flattering to my feet and legs and they were comfy. Although, looking at the picture now I do think they look pretty strange, and are sure to date quite quickly I think?

But why not just wear heeled or wedge boots?

Isn't the point of trainers to be comfortable?

Toughasoldboots Thu 25-Oct-12 19:38:06

I quite like them but dd pulled a face when I mentioned getting some. She said I am nearer death than being young enough to wear themhmm

Meggles76 Thu 25-Oct-12 19:51:45

Oh no no no grin
They are great but I think you need to invest as the cheaper copies I have seen are far from lovely.
perhaps it is because I am 5ft wink

noddyholder Thu 25-Oct-12 19:56:07

Not keen but are everywhere where I live but mainly teenagers who can wear most things

Hatewashing Thu 25-Oct-12 20:11:00

I love them, probably because I am 4'11 tho.

TheCraicDealer Thu 25-Oct-12 21:29:57

These are the latest effort from the designer who "created" the wedge trainer. I love how they have tried to extend the trend into winter and inadvertently make a pair of hooves perfect for a Daisy the Cow costume instead.

lurkingaround Thu 25-Oct-12 21:50:28

grin TheCraicDealer! They are hilarious!! Made my night! Daisy the cow costume indeed.
In 10 years time, those will definitely be looked back at in horror!

PerryCombover Thu 25-Oct-12 23:01:27

I have some
Those ugg looking ones are dire though

DameFannyGallopsAtaGhost Thu 25-Oct-12 23:05:30

oh that link's baaad.

wedges on closed shoes or boots are wrong anyway, unless you specifically want to look like you're correcting 2 club feet

Toughasoldboots Thu 25-Oct-12 23:32:11

Hold your horses, wedge boots are wrong?

CointreauVersial Thu 25-Oct-12 23:55:04

I don't mind a wedge, but trainers (wedge or otherwise) are too sporty-looking for me. They just don't suit my look.

But I have seem them looking good on other people.

I love mine. And have done for over 2 years. Love love love em!!!! And have more than one pair.....he he he!

NettoSpookerstar Fri 26-Oct-12 09:12:07

I have a pair, I really like them.

SaraBellumHertz Fri 26-Oct-12 09:54:08

Prefer wedge trainers over wedged boots

pumpkinsweetie Fri 26-Oct-12 09:57:35

I like the look of them, but i wear trainers to be comfy and for me they'd be too painful for everyday wear and not dressy enough for going out so tbh i cannot see the point in their creation.
But then again i'm a daily heel wimpgrin

Bunbaker Fri 26-Oct-12 09:58:16

IMO heels on trainers and wellies are just wrong. But that is just my personal opinion.
