I think I may just be downright utterly unstylish...is Asos really trying to sell a jumper with a giant hole at the hip and calling it 'distressed'...here really?

I've been looking for cream jumpers, I'm going to give up now.

I was fine with the eighties style torn jeans...but jumpers? In this weather??? No, just no.

Hahaha! That's hideous! 'Distressed detail'?! It's an effing great hole!

TequilaMockinBird Thu 25-Oct-12 08:35:17

confused £125 for a jumper with a bloody great big hole in?

addictedisback Thu 25-Oct-12 08:43:30

Did someone have an accident while making it and think, ah well we'll sell it as distressed!
That's definitely a hole, not just distressed, a hole.

Yeah, I don't get it. Officially old.

worldgonecrazy Thu 25-Oct-12 08:44:26

There's a reason it's been reduced.

My DH and every other man in my family are leaders of style then...

Zwitterion Thu 25-Oct-12 08:46:15

Ha ha clicked on the link thinking it might be 'artfully distressed' with laddering in the pattern for example, but it's hideous.

And 50% acrylic. For that money I'd want a 100% cashmere hole thank you very much.

iloveeverton Thu 25-Oct-12 08:59:08

Thats so funny!

I have this- its quite slouchy but I've worn it loads cream jumper

mutny Thu 25-Oct-12 09:06:35

If it didn't have to hole it would be lovely, what a shame. It looks shit.

mignonette Thu 25-Oct-12 09:10:06

The tale of The Emperors New Clothes can often be applied to Fashion. This is just one of those moments. Another would be this -

style.uk.msn.com/fashion-week/london-fashion-week-frow-day-two

Even the fashion editors were stunned into silence by this....

Sleepthief Thu 25-Oct-12 09:10:08

My cousin will be gutted - she's just thrown out a load of jumpers after a moth infestation! grin

iWILLdothis Thu 25-Oct-12 09:41:39

A real bargain at only £125.....RRP £315!

pictish Thu 25-Oct-12 09:46:23

Ummm...what??!! hmm

Bizarre!

MurderOfGoths Thu 25-Oct-12 09:55:02

Oh dear... how much of a sucker would you have to be to buy that?!

Biggem Thu 25-Oct-12 09:57:42

Did you see the original retail price?! Hilarious

PerryCombover Thu 25-Oct-12 10:03:21

arf

CarpeThingy Thu 25-Oct-12 10:04:30

I fully support this trend. It means I don't have to spend any money at all on clothes this winter grin. In fact, I may be able to sell a few.

What a lovely jumper. Don't you agree? <starts rooting about at the back of the wardrobe>

HeftyHeifer Thu 25-Oct-12 11:14:39

'distressed detailing' my arse...it's the ones they've fucked up in the factory..

fuzzywuzzy Thu 25-Oct-12 11:33:49

Well that is a relief, I thought I was going mad, can you even imagine attmepting to wash it, it would come out of the machine as a giant tangled ball of yarn.

Iloveeverton thank you for the link, I shall go to DP at lunchtime and have a look.

JaxTellerIsMyFriend Thu 25-Oct-12 11:42:56
