Really need some new ones. I'm looking for a longish body and variety of colours, with a slight stretch as they hold their shape better (maybe small% lycra), flattering shape and inexpensive not asking for much am I?! Where is the best place to look?

Marking for future reference!

For layering? I got some recently in H&M, twas hard to find scoop neck, most places I looked only had high necklines, or crap quality.

I didn't find the H&M ones long enough for me sad I got a few from Primark although they were a higher neck. I'd also like to find some so marking my place too!

The ones I've got are as long as the primark ones, might be worth trying again in case they've made them longer recently? I only got mine last weeksmile

For scoop neck I'd go for the Uniqlo ones - I'm 5'9 and they are great and cosy and layer well.

I like uniqlo ones too, but wear cardigan or something over it - bit thin (see through) otherwise

I bought a load from Primark last week - £3 each, nice colours and a v good length

If you're after colours then go for Kettlewell. Their stuff washes and irons really well; I've had stuff for years....

I for great v neck ones from primark. I am really impressed!

Gap Pure ones are great. Long on the body and mostly cotton with a bit of lycra. The code Grazia should get you 30% off at the mo. I just bought 3.

Another vote for Primark, they have scoop neck v-neck, and higher neck styles. They are long in the body and stretchy, cost £3.50.

Uniqlo long sleeve v necks are perfect

Yes-for layering. I wish there was a Uniqlo near me, may have to order from them, but looks like i should give primark a try first. I have a great one from H&M from a few years ago-never found one made from the same fabric again, might be worth checking there too. Just noticed your post pootle-I'll have a quick look there too-i'm a sucker for a discount code wink thank you!

Another vote for the Boden scoop neck this year, just wish they did more colours.
