boys larger waist trousers - where please?

DS (9) has erm expanded round the waist, but is still average height for his age. I know M&S do school trousers in larger waist sizes, but he needs jeans/chinos/cords that won't give him a muffin top! Don't want to pay £££'s either as he does tend to shoot up between school Hols.

where can I find generous fitting trews for him? Next, Gap maybe?

Hello- my 12 year old DS has had a similar probllem for the last few years (thankfully he's now having a vertical growth spurt!) . Next are good - not had much luck in stores, but on their website you can choose "plus fit" trousers- there isn't a huge choice, but I can usually find something for him. I've also had shorts from BHS (online again) and Debenhams. Good luck!

well we have a child with that sort of build - not fat, skinny legs, skinny everythingreally but he is broad around the middle and goes straight up and down. He's been like that since he was a couple of months old.

We find the generous fit trousers in Next and BHS really massive on him - they're HUGE - so he is in ordinary trousers for school which I buy in a bigger size and turn up. (hard work but it's the only way)

For other clothes he has a few normal pairs but I really like the jeans/cords/cargo trousers with thick, ribbed elasticated waists - you can find them in Asda, sometimes in Tesco I think too. Really nice and comfy - not huge but enough stretch not to be uncomfortable. And the right length Smile

Eds-sounds like my DS, he's all stick arms and legs and wide in chest and tum. I have one pair of 'husky fit' (WTF?) jeans bought from Old Navy in US which are massive (have to pull in the elastic tabs all the way in), but am kicking myself for not getting a pair of chinos too. will have a look for those trousers in Asda and Tescos thanks. DS used to do this just before he shot up a few inches.
Try BHS.

Next do a plus size range but their normal fit are pretty big.

I have one DS who is like a stick and one who is broader in the shoulders and waist. He also likes to wear his trousers very low and doesn't like anything tight so we sometimes struggle a bit. I recently got him some cords and jeans from Next which fit well. I just don't pull in the tabs at all.
