My hair is fine and wavy. I don't want to be staightening every day, don't mind a bit of wave. Been wanting to go short for ages but find it so hard to make the decision! Any tips?

I like the second one and it looks easy to manage. Go for it!

yes. i have my hair in a similar style after years of having a jaw length bob, not once regretted going shorter. am going for this next time i have a trim.

I like both, though it's hard to tell what the first one is like at the back.

How much shorter are you going? If your hair's long atm and you want to try an in between length first, I saw this today which would suit your hair type (and mine - am tempted!)

Sorry if you've already got a bob and that's unhelpful :)

Go onto this site if you register you can take a picture of yourself and try different hairstyles on, there are loads. (You can also try different shades of makeup on I've had hours of fun at DHs expense )

I'd go for Jo Elvin's style, first one.

Which one foofoo? I linked to two.. Gah I want a haircut, I've only just grown it long too!

2nd one is less sideways if you look at it here.

This time last year mine was very short and had been for years. I've been going through agonies trying to grow it back and it still looks odd to me and strange in places where it was shorter at the sidesConfused. It's taking ages.

Just be veeery sure it's what you want. I do like short hair but once it's short you're stuck with it.

I'm going for the Sienna style on Monday. I used to have an all one length, shoulder length bob. I went half way on my last cut as the hairdresser said it was too drastic and she wanted to make sure that I was definite in wanting a shorter style.

I can't wait to have it done.

Love Jo Elvin's hair. Am very jealous, would love short hair but have been cursed with curly hair!

Second one - lovely!

The second - nice and think it would be easier to manage.

I've got a shortish bob at the moment, but realised when out with friends the other week that we all had the same haircut. Need to change!

TheBirdsTheBirds, that is nice, do you think it would be rubbish if not dead straight?

Another question; do you think you need a tiny cute face for short hair? And is it ageing? (I'm 30something)
