I was planning to try something like the recommended outfit. Wear some tights, a coat and heels. I wanted to go in a classic style. So, you think this won't do?

It's for office assistant, for a small company

I'd wear that, so long as the interview wasn't for a traditional suited profession. It's not very structured though, so I'd wear with a sharp blazer or jacket rather than a coat, something that I didn't take it off for the interview. I think I'd feel a bit skimpy sitting there in just the dress.

Agree with madbuslady. Just formalise it a bit more. Jacket, sharp shoes and a structured work-stylee bag. Good luck too!
