I love polishes, I'm not a fan of make up, but nailpolish is the equivilant of shoes, or jewellery. It finishes an outfit.

Today I am wearing Essie school of hard rocks, an ace dark teal. With a barry m yellow topaz glitter topcoat. The topcoat looks like models own, but is half the price, from superdrug, buy 2 get a web or croc effect free. And the essie came from

I'm trying a new one from a very new brand (run by two women online) called "Killer Colours" in a really light pink. It reminds me of in my teens (so about 1995/6) when Tippex brought out tippex in baby pink and blue that had a hint of the white to it. Lush, and goes in really thick.

I generally buy nail polish (when not being sent it for my blog!) from the 99p Shop! shock Terrible I know! But I find you get colours from the US that they dont stock here.

I love the way shellac/gel lasts (as I am terrible for chipping my nails within 2 minutes of doing them) - but I HATE having to get it off again once my nails have grown! Only just managed to get rid of the last lot, so bare nails atm.

I like Nails Inc. though (especially when they're reduced or free with mags!).

Am coveting one I saw in a magazine (but can't remember the name right now) - sort of midnight blue colour with little gold/silvery sparkles.

I must try the No.7 topcoat too... anything to stop me chipping them!

Bio-sculpture short gels in a very dark brown (similar to Rouge Noir but much more stable and longlasting) . Getting loads of compliments.

Crystal file has just arrived! Quick service or what?!!

It's fab - no comparison to cheaper makes, will be interesting to see if using it helps my nails to stop splitting.
