Eyelash dye - advice please.

Further to the eyebrow question - my eyelashes are also blonde.
Is it worth having them dyed?
How regularly should it be done?
Does it damage eyelashes?

Dont know the answer to all those questions but i do my own at home. It really doesnt last that long and so paying out at a salon is a waste of money imo. Its dead easy to do yourself btw.

I think it makes a huge different as the dye right to the ld so the look longer and thicker. It doesn't last long though, about a month, its my one treat to have eyebrows waxed and lashes tinted.

Jumping on for a quick hijack - chipstick10, I'd love to start doing my own at home, I think it does make a lovely subtle difference. Where do you buy your dye? I looked in Boots, but they only had Black, and any time I've had mine done in a salon they've used Blue-Black. Does anyone know where you can buy Blue-Black online?

OP, if you've never had them tinted before, I'd say go to a salon for the first couple of goes, just to see the way the therapist does it (and see which colour they use - I think there's also a Brown shade that might be better if you're very fair).

i do my eyelashes myself, and yes, going to a salon for a first time will be a help to see how it's done. i use dylash. smear vaseline around the eye area, apply the dye like you would put on mascara only thicker, wait for about 10 mins, then wipe off. it'll make a big difference, and lasts about 6 weeks.

i use brown on my eyebrows, then i add black to it to do my lashes.

It is one of the best things in the world. I used to get mine done every 6 weeks and it was the best £10-12 I'd spent. I've moved country and my current local salon uses an all natural dye that is rubbish and am still hunting for a good place.

I used to get them dyed blue black as its the darkest colour. I have half black, half blonde eyelashes, blue eyes, reddish brown hair and the palest skin imaginable. It makes you look like you have perfectly applied mascara and if you throw on some lipgloss you'll be ready to leave the house. I would go swimming 3-5 times a week and although I would get my lashes dyed every 6 weeks I could have left it longer.

If you get it done make sure you have a patch test first.
