Please help with my winter wardrobe

Thanks for reading. Ok so current wardrobe is jeans, flat sandals and vest tops with thin cardy. Not going to cut it.

Ive seen a cord miniskirt in h and m and love it-thinking either a camel coloured or a green. But, I'm a size 16 in all shops but there. Their 16 i can't get into let alone fasten and I didn't see any bigger sizes. So that's first prolem, a cord mini-colour negotiable but don't fancy black. I also think I need to buy brogues-are they still 'in' for winter? If so I shall find some ok on my own as loads of shoe shops near.

Second problem-long sleeved and short sleeved tops that i can layer. Want cheap so I can buy in bulk in different colours but not too tight and not TOO thick as I sweat easily (TMI!) also not tight under my arms, for same reason. Not bothered what neckline. I may well wear vest tops under the long sleeves for extra warmth.

I hav black flat boots, grey ankle boots with laces an a heel and a pair of uggs, so with some brogues or another nice but practical shoe I should be set. Also goin to buy one of the many gilets about with a hood, anda more formal coat.

I'd be very grateful for any help as have tried all the shops I can think of and am stuck. Happy to buy online or to go to meadowhall (Sheffield) as work near there.

Thanks for reading lovely fashionable ladies

Several cord skirts here. I've narrowed it to your size, not-black and under £50.

H&M is good for tops, are they too mean in the cut? Gap, maybe? I hear good things about Primark ones, but can't bring myself to go into a Primark to investigate.

Gap have a nice cord skirt in burgundy and they have 25% off if you order it today. I tried it on and it was quite large so ended up going down a size.
