Mine is purple Lipsy dress I bought last year. It's the short of dress that makes you feel great.

I have put it on when feeling shit and walked around the house in it Blush

Excellent! That's what I need.

I have just got the Bow dress from Boden this morning and I really think it is going to be the best party dress ever. It's so Audrey, so Hubert Givenchy, so vintage looking, I am more than delighted with it. It will shunt my previous favourite, which was a clingy black draped front Anglomania dress, to one side. Boden shunting Viv to one side is pretty special.

I love it!

I don't think they sell it anymore but in the hollyoaks start up thing one of the girls is wearing it.

I love lipsy dresses

I have two. One is a dark teal cowl neck cashmere dress from Brora which I sometimes wear with a deep suede belt. Snuggly and so fabulous but not terribly jazzy. The other is a sea green layered thing from Jigsaw - bottom layer silk, middle layer a beaded and sequinned lace overlay, top layer a very light gauzy silk, like a slightly stiff chiffon, that you can see the overlay through - strappy tight bodice and 3/4 length flared skirt. It's less frou frou than it sounds and it is GORGEOUS.

Not looking for a new one!

Mine is old faithful - it's a black, sparkly dress which I bought from H&M for £14.99 when I was supposed to be buying clothes for work. i've had it 8 years, and it ALWAYS gets compliments and it makes me happy.

I love these!

Well played Johnny Boden. With the edge on Viv.

The right one does make you happy doesn't it. And compliments make the champagne bubbles work a little bit more (lightheaded).

I'm looking for a new one.

I also have a light gold coloured boob tube type dress. It's quite short but sucks me in and gives me a great figure Grin

A silver and shiny blue brocade dress I bought second hand when I was a student.

I've just bought mine. I'm swapping it for a different size and won't be revealing the details until the right one is in my sticky little paws for fear of someone beating me to it.

Even though it is the wrong size, however, it makes me feel like (a short) Audrey Hepburn which can't be bad. I can see myself wearing it forever.

Black bandage dress .. The one everyone z lister and Victoria Beckham wore a few years ago can't remember the designer but it's an obvious one

It squishes everything in and hoikes everything up

I'm 40 I need all the help I can get

Bunny I would have snapped up the black Pearl Lowe one had I known about it. You lucky beggar.

I LOVE a good frock thread. Especially in the build up to Christmas. II normally end up stuffing a couple more dresses in my wardrobe by the end of them though not that DH ever finds out.

this one
It isn't nearly as short on me and worn with thick black tights and sky high shoe boots its perfect. Bought for a trip to new York, I've drunk cocktails in the Waldorf in it and had great girl nights out.....it makes me happy just to see it hanging in the wardrobe!

I love the Pearl Lowe ones.

And yours is stunning Always.

Labootin I know who you mean, very nice!

QueenBee don't blame you, no links til the deal is done!

The best thing is associating great memories with a fabulous dress.

I have great memories but am looking for THE dress.

Am lucky enough to have this dress from a couple of seasons ago (albeit mine doesn't have a zip up the back and the studs are more square than round) but other than that pretty much identical. //www.michaelkors.com/p/MICHAEL-Michael-Kors-MICHAEL-Michael-Kors-Stud-Trim-Crepe-Dress-DRESSES/prod17230005_cat18007__/?index=10&cmCat=cat000000cat102cat18007&isEditorial=false

I want to wear it to a dressy party in a hotel but can't seem to find what works from a shoes and legs perspective. Have tried bare legs and silver wedge sandles or bare legs and these snakeskin and black shoes: //www.bing.com/images/search?q=Shoes+Massimo+Dutti+2012&view=detail&id=38183E4EDE54C296D1796E87E2233DF257BB9E98&first=151&FORM=IDFRIR but neither look right. Then tried black tights, both opaque and sheer with some high black suede courts, but again not happy with this.

I posted on this the other day about what to wear with it as I really want to get some more wear out of it rather than buy anything new and someone suggested shoe boots so I'm now on a mission to find some of those to glam it up and wear it some more his year!

Although now i'm tempted by the lovely dress Always has linked too......................
