An modern day to evening jacket needed!

Would really like to find a smart casual jacket that will be fine for day and evenings. I really like the idea of a woollen/cashmere/jersey style jacket, probably in black or dark colour, classic modern style. Ive seen a beauty on Jigsaw website, which is cashmere blend biker jacket, swoon! But is a bit pricey, although at a push could request for Christmas present..maybe. Anyone seen anything similar or any ideas for different jackets? I always struggle for a jacket that is suitable to put on when going out in evenings, so would love to find one. Thanks in advance
