Updated wardrobe for a 65 year old

I am 65, slim and a size 10. I am fed up with my current wardrobe,- I live in trousers and want to change. Quite like the idea of skirts with opaque tights. What length of skirt should I go for - don't want to look like mutton dresssed up as lamb! Also what type of shoes and tops.
Hope you can give me a fashion makeover!

Flat knee-high or over the knee boots are good with short skirts - pretty, warm and cosy.

Printed cardigans are fashionable.

I think this is a nice look and could be worn with opaques and a nice winter coat.

One of the most stylish women I've ever seen was a lady in her 60s and about your size, she was wearing a beautifully patterned silk tunic (something a bit like this only nicer with black opaques, black kitten heel slingbacks and a big chunky bracelet, she had grey hair that had been swept up into a small chignon. She was so elegant I could have died.

Age is but a number. Check out the threads re skirts and boots and follow the suggestions. You obviously have a great figure and just need some confidence.

If you are only size 10 - then go for it with skinny dark blue jeans, leather knee high boots or just below, tunic top to the thigh to show off your skinny thighs but covering your tum and a dark mulberry leather jacket -- who cares if you are 65 ?? - -cover up your bad areas and show off your good ones - and this is an on trend look that any age can do !!
