Danefae coat- midseason or winter?

I was all set to buy this coat (hope link works am on iPad and it is being very annoying)

But then I saw that there is a lovely midseason version and I wondered if that might be better suited to London winters than the winter version.

Anyone got one..? Will I be too hot in the winter version?
