I want these boots, but in leather, not suede. Help. Please

I am sick of spending loads on suede boots (which I love, but never lasts more than a winter or two, despite repeated spraying of protector stuff).

I want basically exactly these boots, but in brown leather. Definitely not black. They need to have the ankle split and some sort of buckle over the ankle. Also love these similar ones but also insanely expensive and basically the same as the Mango ones.

Budget up to about £250 for the perfect pair.

Help. Please. Much love and adulation will be dispensed to anyone who can find me them.

Does polishing suede in clear shoe polish sort of 'leather up' the suede?

Appreciate you might not want tp do this with a very expensive pair!

Joyce I have never heard that. Will have to Google. Would worry they would just look like v worn out suede instantly though...

What about these? They might be a bit short though.

These from JohnnieB? I have them in tan from last year too and they're fab. Can be worn with strap loosely buckled which gives the 'split' effect which you don't see in the photo.

They are all lovely, but mostly too dainty. I need biker clump Grin

Zara boots are nice, but really want low ankle (have calf ones from Clarks already)

The All Saints ones are gorgeous (and the KGs are a close second) but WTF is the under-foot strap about? Surely it will get filthy and minging and look tatty. Grrrr.

Oh god, I am the fussiest boot shopper ever. Maybe I should get suede and resign myself to it only lasting a year or two. Time for another thread entitled 'how to make suede last' I think...

I'll look out for that; I handed back a suede pair yesterday for the same reason.they're lovely but look scruffy in no time, even if you look after them properly which I never do.
