Was browsing for a new coat.

Came across this monstrosity.

Closely followed in the minging stakes by this beast

How the frig are they both sold out in most sizes??

To quote Tethers "I no longer fear hell."

SummerRain Mon 24-Sep-12 17:08:17

Christ... Some things should have stayed in the 80's!

DolomitesDonkey Mon 24-Sep-12 17:09:04

Oh that reminds me, must phone mother.

VivaLeBeaver Mon 24-Sep-12 17:09:37

I've seen someone wearing that first one!

headfairy Mon 24-Sep-12 17:11:25

Jeepers. Some people have more money than sense!

BunnyLebowski Mon 24-Sep-12 17:11:53

The reviews of the black one are pretty funny grin

"Never seen anything so lovely." hmm

"Value for money got 1 for myself and 1 for my daughter" shock

7to25 Mon 24-Sep-12 17:12:11

I presume they are not made in the larger sizes

daisydoodoo Mon 24-Sep-12 17:13:00

Dd who is 6 had a coat similar to number 2 last autumn it was from h&m. Who knew 5yr olds were trendsetters!

madammecholet Mon 24-Sep-12 17:42:53

Perfect examples of a catwalk trend totally fecked up by the high street....grin

DonaAna Mon 24-Sep-12 18:22:57

Yep, #2-alikes featured in Oct Vogue's More Dash Than Cash. Very difficult to think it would look good on anyone. DD2 (2-y-o) has a jacket like that too.

crazybutterflylady Mon 24-Sep-12 18:30:41

20% off at debenhams at the mo with DM20... For those who also think it is funky and a great bargain hmm

Fangolina Mon 24-Sep-12 18:52:01

Bloody hell ...they are woeful shock

Pancakeflipper Mon 24-Sep-12 18:54:32

Oh I cannot wait to see mother and daughter wandering down the high street in their matching coats...

MarshaBrady Mon 24-Sep-12 18:55:49

The second is a designer rip off, a bad one.

The first. I'm not sure what this is!

TheLightPassenger Mon 24-Sep-12 18:57:35

I like the actual japanese flower pattern on the debenhams one, just a shame that it's on a puffa jacket, not a silk blouse/shift

susiedaisy Mon 24-Sep-12 18:58:27

That reminds me I must give my grandmother back the old duvet cover she lent me!!

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot Mon 24-Sep-12 18:59:47

I'm scared.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid Mon 24-Sep-12 19:01:10

Ow, my eyes!

LaFataTurchina Mon 24-Sep-12 19:02:08

Uhm, I actually quite like both of them :D

I would never buy either of them mind, because they are not very versatile at all, plus the novelty would run out after a few wears.

However, if I saw either of them in a charity shop for a fiver I'd be tempted to get a pair to wear with with jeans!

MarshaBrady Mon 24-Sep-12 19:04:38

I like the floral on black that is in atm. But not keen on the puffa version.

FairPhyllis Mon 24-Sep-12 19:12:57

I have learned from past experience that it is rarely a good sign when something is described as "unique" or "funky".

MoomieAndFreddie Mon 24-Sep-12 19:18:14

well they are joe browns, say no more....

YouSexyBeauty Mon 24-Sep-12 19:19:36

They are worthy of Bianca from Eastenders. Put one on and you'll not be able to stop bellowing 'Riccckaaay'.

HappyHippyChick Mon 24-Sep-12 19:20:54

I get the feelin even the Debenhams people think it's awful.

" Maybe wear it with a scarf, jeans... and bags of self-confidence!" Sub text "hold your head up high as many people will be laughing and pointing at you!"

ChablisLover Mon 24-Sep-12 19:34:19

I have lost my sight at those coats!

Am now blinded to decent style and taste!
