Eyelash extensions, anyone had/got them?

Just wandering what they look like...I'm interested in having them done, but would they look over the top for everyday wear? I don't wear much make up but love mascara and would love longer lashes.
Thing is its quite pricey to start, £60 at my local salon, and then £15 every 3 weeks to 'top them up' so I need opinions please!

I have them! Just got them last week. I look like a drag queen, but in a good way.

I think I could get quite addicted as it is really nice not to be smudged with runny make up by 4pm every day and it does make getting ready in the morning quicker.

I have worn them constantly for 11 months. I love them. I don't go for the curliest ones and the girl that does them puts shorter in the inside corner of my eye and longer on the out side corner.
They are so real dh didn't know i wore them. he thought when i said 'off to get lashes done' I was having them tinted and curled, which he thought made them look longer. Also in earlier this year I was having some eye make up put on me in bare essentials and she commented on how lovely my lashes were. She was shocked when I said they were extensions.
My lashes stand out and look lovely and long but not false.
Personally i wouldn't go for a top up.
My salon charges £65 for the first session then £35 (as long as you go at least every 8 weeks), they remove the lashes and apply a full new set. They do offer top up at £20. but end up with them looking uneven as some you will have had in for 3 weeks and some 3 days.
I stopped having my nails done and legs waxed to pay for them.
I feel 'done' with very little effort and as I like the 'lashy' look i used to spend about 20 minutes just on my lashes, so it saves time in the morning.

I am so obsessed with them I have my appointments booked up 4 months in advance as the salon is busy and I can not, not have them done. :)

I have them when I have time.
I have a hatred of the really fake looking ones
I get size 11s and size 10s ( most people get much longer ones on)

I want mine to look like amazing natural lashes and they do
Without them I spend ages arsing about with mascara

The first time I had them done they were hideous (different salon and curlier lashes) so it is worthwhile going somewhere recommended

Thank you ladies, I think I'm going to go for it. I don't go anywhere without mascara, it's my one 'must have' bit of make up, so I think I'm going to love them Smile

Perry, I will have a look to see if I can find any reviews/recomendations. I don't want to look fake, more like I've been blessed with lovely eyelashes, if that makes sense?!

OP thats how mine look. A couple of friends have the longest curliest ones but i prefer a more natural appearance.

Amazing.... For one off events. Special "do", going on holiday (effortless) but, no matter what anyone tells you, they DO weaken your lashes.

I use the RapidLash serum. I'm flabbergasted by what it's done for my lashes..... It took 8 weeks but, worth it.

I paid for mine with an offer for Groupon, £22 instead of £60+ and I'm so glad as I would've been gutted to have parted with £60+ for them. I couldn't wait to get them off and started pulling them out a couple of days after having them done. They made my eyelids really itchy and as though my eyelids were being poked with needles. I must admit that initially they did look nice and it was great that I didn't need mascara, but I would much rather stick to glue on ones for special occasions.

I've had them a few times. First got too long ones and indeed looked like a drag queen. Then got 10's and they looked really gorgeous and natural - but it didn't last. Were pretty for a week, then started falling out and got messy.
And I agree with Eliza, they do damage your own lashes quite considerably. So I might get them in the future for some special events, but otherwise will just stick with mascara.

I've had them, my friend is a makeup artist and did them for free to practice. I hated them but I can't even wear falsies for an evening without wanting to rip them off. They did look great - had long sweepy ones at the side - but I could feel them there all the time. Took them off after about ten days - if anyone wants to do the same, wipe over with a makeup wipe a few times to loosen the bonds and then you can pick them out.

I've had them constantly for 2 years and I wouldn't want to be without them now. I have infils done every 2-3 weeks and they always look perfect.

I don't believe they do damage your lashes. As long as the person doing them knows what they are doing. after over I have noticed not difference in my natural lashes when I have them removed for a new set.
