Are jumpers just awful?

Or is it just me? I have been looking, but everything I see is either no good for big breasts or looks to be too short.

If you have seen any that might look good with jeans or a skirt, can you show me. I seem to be jumper blind

Avoid

Avoid Topshop and similar: their jumpers are navel-skimming monstrosities fit only for 15 year old waifs.

Other than that, I have no advice, sorry.

You see, it never occurred to me that they were awful. Maybe it's the reason I can't find one I like.

I wear jumpers but have not got large breasts. Maybe they don't look god in jumpers?

I think jumper + big boobs works OK if you have a scarf to break up the boob-shelf thing

I had some nice ones from zara last year, V neck, long arms and body, washed well. Maybe look in there?

Depends on your budget. Uniqlo usually have something passable for not too much. Pure Collection have beautiful classic jumpers and more fashionable tunics and a 25% off code floating around at the moment. Not cheap, but fantastic quality.

I agree jumpers are a bit of a nightmare with big boobs. I am 34FF and have recently bought a plain grey one from Uniqlo here shop.uniqlo.com/uk/goods/073572#colorSelect and a bit more exciting star one from Next here www.next.co.uk/x502158s4#771101x50
I love scarfs and will always wear with which distracts from knockers. I steer clear of chunky jumpers but like a chunky cardi.

I meant to add, jumpers do tend to hang off the boobs a bit but I actually buy them big and wear with skinnies so it's a 'sloppy' casual look.

I actually like that star one which is a bit of a surprise. Next has generally been awful lately.

I have this from Warehouse, which is flattering as it has a curved shape above the bust. Sizing is generous!

My jumper struggle is my tummy area. I just look pregnant in them.

Yep, rarely buy in Next but was on ordering some uniform for DS and came across it. Have worn it today and it's v nice, size is on the large side.

I have some cashmere semi fitted jumpers to wear with skirts in winter and they are fine for large of norks. I dont wear them with jeans though, because I think it looks strange.

I have some long line jumpers/tops for jeans and knitted tunic style jumpers (sleeveless) that I wear with a long sleeve top underneath.

Next you all say... off to have a look.

I love jumpers.

Got to be the right shape though. I've got some FC ones that are gorgeous. Quite big and boxy, nice with skinny jeans.

LaTrucha · 19/09/2012 19:04

I don't quite get boxy. Maybe it's the name I find offputting.

Tunics make me look mumsy.

Non of them have low enough scoop necklines.[grump]

Report
noddyholder · 19/09/2012 19:39

Bought a boxy low scoop one in zara today its surprisingly flattering and is ORANGE!

Report
LaTrucha · 19/09/2012 19:50

Now that is surprising!

I think 'boxy' is just not a shape that I think would suit me. ie. Big boobs and hips / small ribcage and waist.

V-neck is the only way to go for big boobs! Avoid polo and round necks like the plague!

I like the blue one. (I have red hair, so orange is not for me).
