Wooly tights

This has probably come up before but opinions do change over time. Having lost a couple of sizes recently I find I am wearing skirts more often. As we come up to winter I will be needing nice warm tights, preferrably wool/cotton not just xxx denier of the usual kind. I have heard Falke are good and M&S and Primark have good ones as well. I'm not bothered about shine, matt finish or anything, just nice and warm and cosy and do NOT fall down or get holes in 1 or 2 wears.

M+S have loads of lovely woolly tights florals, zig-zags, cable pattern.
Also John Lewis.

So are Falke not what they used to be?

I've seen some in Tesco as well but pretty cheap. Good or bad.

Ooh, good on you for the weight loss. I'm in the same situation.

Only I'm also completely skint. So need some budget options.

I'd rather pay a little more for decent tights though as cheap bad ones just get thrown out anyway.

For the real budget option you could try school tights but I don't think I'm that small. No-one would notice if you choose your outfits carefully.

I love the Primark super cosy (I think that's what they're called?), they have a fleecy lining inside that is really warm. They only come in black or navy, I bought 6 pairs 2 years ago and they are still in great condition - no holes, no pulls and no bobbling. They are as opaque as leggings, I love them.

Oh, and they are in stock in my local Primark again now

New Look wooly tights are excellent. My last lot lasted 3 winters.

Fleece lined? Bit warm for the office then?

Will be visiting both new look and primark ASAP.

I have found that since losing weight, I'm willing to show more leg, and the knee length skirts I had look a bit mumsy now. Would be good to be able to get me knees out more in some warm tights this winter.

Op, if you are willing to pay a bit more then both Falke and Wolford are excellent - also worth checking TK Maxx as I picked up Falke, Calvin Klein and various other nice ones massively reduced.
