CACI facials

Has anyone has these (as a one-off or as a course) and would you recommend?

There seem to be a few at my local salon, all called things like hydra lift and hydra tone etc which don't actually mean very much, so I can't decide between them - or if I should even bother, or stick with the decleor ones which I know don't actually do anything but do lull me off to sleep in a rather lovely way.

I'm 35 and have pretty good skin, just lots of laughter lines round my eyes and starting to get the odd line here or there elsewhere too. I'm too scared young for Botox but wondered if these facials might perk me up a bit?

Just did a search on CACI to get some info and saw your thread. I fancy trying it too and it would be great to know if anyone else has had it done and if there were any visible results. Also wondering if it's painful at all?

I have just booked a course of the latest version of CACI with my trusted beautician.
I can't have microdermabrasion any more.
Start next month.

Hmm - you may be a bit young to need them yet if you're skin is still toned and you haven't aged prematurely.

I would recommend you try just one to see and it doesn't have to be caci - that's just a brand - look for a facial using Microcurrent and the technology will be the same.

I use Ultra Visage btw which is a good one to look for as it has galvanic and ionothermic elements too which would work for even young skin as it deep cleanses and brightens as well as lifting.

A course of them is an investment but needs maintaining afterwards so if you look for a facial offering more than just lifting you can benefit by using them more occasionally for a boost to you skin.

I was having them at 24-27. Then the lady left who did them and I never found anyone else as good at them.

They are brill. I cant afford them now either

I'm 50 in March and have just booked a consultation for Caci or Comcit course of facials. Does anyone have experience in both of these please, to compare? I decided against Botox as I don't trust what it might do long term and don't want to alter the way I look just boost/freshen and smooth the lines a little. They are not deep yet and I think a little toning would (hopefully) sort them out!

I had a course of 6 CACI facials a few months ago. My skin did feel nice, fresh and plump afterwards, but can't really say I noticed any difference in my lines (I'm 52). It wasn't painful at all, but I did get a metallic taste in my mouth from my fillings when she was doing my jaw area, and a couple of times saw flashing lights when she was doing round my eyes. Don't know if that's normal (beautician said it can happen...) or if I'm just sensitive.

Thanks Jackie, that really helps. I'm hoping as my lines are not too ingrained that the 'plumping out' might make a difference? How long did the plump/fresh look last for you?

I think it lasted about a month or so. I didn't have any top-up sessions (which they recommend) as I bought the course through Groupon or Wowcher as a package and extra sessions were quite expensive.

I've had a couple - they were nice but the effect was temporary.

The only things that really work for lines are Botox (you can have 'baby' Botox - 1/2 dose but same price sadly!), fillers and tretinoin (vitamin a - prescription only but used by all dermatologists in any anti-ageing 'regime'). I doubt you 'need' fillers/Botox at your age, well nobody does, but they do deal with lines. Vitamin c serum works too as an antioxidant - it brightens and can prevent more damage - but you'd need a good stable one. Skinceuticals and Obagi do good ones but they are expensive.
