If you haven't tried Botox and you are considering it.

Botox is really so amazing. If you have some angry lines Wink or some wrinkles around your eyes I cannot say enough how effective it is! It makes all that faffing around trying to find a miracle cream pointless.

You look younger, fresher and less tired, you CAN still emote.Grin Make up goes on better. You feel younger and more confident. Most of all, however, you dont catch a glimpse of yourself looking like your mother!

Ok thanks think you've just confirmed to me that I will do it probably early next year. Have had it in mind for ages but my skin really is going downhill now so time to act.

Where did you have it done? how many areas?

I want to look like my mother. We are related after all. And we all age.

I have my forehead and eyes done. I started with just my forehead but the eyes really make a difference.

I know when it needs re doing as my make up tends to fall into ( shall we say ) "Fine Lines" and I just look exhausted.

If your house starts falling to bits you fix it. You don't just shrug and give in to it's inevitable decline

I'm hanging onto my looks for as long as I bloody can

My DM hsa it done, she looks amazing for her age. She's 63 but could easily pass for ten years younger.

DStepD has absolutely no idea Grin

I'm 40 and I don't think I need it yet, but I wouldn't rule it out.

It does work miracles. I kind of hoped it wouldn't!Grin All the creams and potions are ok for a boost of moisture but you look the same just instead of haggard you are shiny and haggard!

I'm considering it. I inherited a grimace from my Dad that has given me deeper "11s" than I should have at my age.

I agree it is great.

Not one person has noticed I get my eyes done but I feel so much more confident with it.

Trixy do it, honestly, it's no big deal and you will LOVE IT

what about the vertical line on your low forehead, between your two eyes. I have this line that makes me look cross all the time. I need it, but the expense scares me. I suppose it's an investment though because it stops that line getting deeper and deeper with every passing month. even if the effect isn't permanent, it slows down the formation of a deep furrow...? i guess. I am trying to talk myself into it. im 42. I think women my age find it harder to stump up for 'plastic surgery'. I have friends a bit younger than me whose younger sisters have been having botox for years!

Olympia, do it. The lines will go. For months at a time. Put aside £15 a week and you can afford to get it done a few months later

On average how much does it cost and how do you find a reputable practitioner? Don't know anyone in real life to have had it done but am quite interested!

I went to my friends house and a girl who works at a local clinic came round. I paid £170 for between my eyes and my whole forehead, which counts as 2 areas. It costs a bit more if you go to a clinic, £200+

Google places local to you

First thing I'm doing once children back at school is my botox top-up - the summer holidays have been hard on my skin

I have that one line between my two eyebrows and I am so conscious of it.

I have been thinking of having this done, but of course, want to go somewhere reputable - any recommendations or is there a website for registered practices?

Report
holstenlips · 02/09/2012 17:42

ive decided to have it asap. worst 11's ever. had to delete all my holiday snaps :-(

Report
Charliefox · 02/09/2012 17:46

Just do it! Seriously, don't even sweat it. It's pretty much painless and the number one most effective treatment for your lines. I've had it done at SK:n previously and now have it done at Transform in Bowden, Cheshire.

I am in Brighton and have a good bloke Not the cheapest though but I didn't choose him for that

I had it done last november, but I don't think I would again. Mine was via a cosmetic surgeon and cost £££ and tbh the 11s need filler two, and the droopy bags need an eyelift. It was very good, for what it did, but I also developed really itchy skin in the same place about five months later. Prob coincidence but enough to put me off. Am saving for eye surgery instead!

Yes I have my frown lines done. I have just enough to stop the wrinkles showing but no enough that I can't frown at all. I don't want a frozen face, so I'm careful not to have too much. The best bit is when I get back from hols and don't have two white lines in between my eyes :o
