Love unhappy hipsters. I do also get unreasonably angry with people who have tick tick tick fashionable houses. Either shabby chic (here's my architect's drafts cabinet and my slightly faded taxidermy display) or minimalist (you'll never, ever find where I keep the washing up liquid). But then I'm sure somebody could do the same with my house.

It's just good to laugh at people who think they have it right. Also they like to think that this is just self-expression and a demonstration of their originality when all it actually shows is that they belong to a certain tribe - in this case the tribe who collect vintage cake stands. No different from auntie who has horse brasses and table mats showing scenes from yore of coaching inns. It's just that her house is not in a fashionable tribe.
