Help please! Fake tan disaster!

I had St Tropez professionally done today. The tan on my body looks good but my face is blotchy with brown patches. My skin can get a bit blotchy sometimes (was fine before the tan was put on) but I think the exfoliation she did first probably made it flare up a bit.

I came home, wet my face and put some nivea on it (always helps calm it down) but any idea how I can get rid of the brown blotches on my face? The only thing I can think of is finding a concealer that will cover them but I didn't want to have to wear makeup during the day in the boiling heat when we go away (Tuesday)!

It should fade in a few days anyway - face always goes quickest unfortunately - but you could do a gentle exfoliation or two to help it go. Saying that it sounds like they could be dry patches in which case be really careful and keep moisturising! not sure if tht helps much though

I had a similar experience with a Clarins fake tanning session a while ago. Basically my face looked really patchy with really dark splodges. Gentle exfoliation using a flannel rather than a product helped to even out the tone. I agree with Rugbywidow that you need to be careful in case you cause inflammation within dry patches so no harsh scrubs etc.

Thanks, will get the flannel out. Not pleased at all! Should have stuck to looking my usual pasty white self.
