Challenge - dress me for hundred quid

Hi, I am a mess, I wear the same ill fitting style less clothes all the time and I'm bored, depressed and fed up.

Budget is small - hundred quid
About me - I am 45, I have 5 dc's at home, aged from 14 - 14 mths. I am realistically a sz14 on the bottom and 16 on top. I am breastfeeding.

I spend my days doing school run, not very much housework, toddler groups or meeting others for coffee etc.

Normal clothes tend to be jeans, I have some coloured ones, converse ( not high tops) :) loose tops and long cardis. Also loose linen trousers in summer like the ones in next. I hate really fitted tops as my tummy is still big. I like colour. I have a painful although not large bunion so no high heels.

Thank you if you can be bothered, I have no style and always look scruffy.

What are you looking for? One outfit or a few bits?

A few bits that will go together and with other stuff I own maybe

My favourite items at the moment are red linen trousers, burgundy skinnies, black jeans, black linen trousers, khaki linen... ( spotting a theme?)

Have you tried Zara? The linen trousers you have sound fab. So if u get a couple of nice tops, that would work. Iyswim. Tesco has lovely colourful jeans at GBp 14 I think which are great fitting and very now. Sainsbury also had good cheap clothes. See what suits. There are these capped sleeved t shirts too which go really well Wih coloured trousers.

Thanks, hadn't really thought if the supermarket ( dim) Zara clothes come up really small for my boobs and tummy I find, although I do like their stuff.

I find the same with Zara. Too small so have to try before I buy or not bother as I hate having to return things. But their styles are good and they have very nice tops currently to go with linen trousers. Using phone so can't send links. Have fun shopping. H& m are good too for cheap clothes but the quality can be wanting. Also u have to search really hard amongst heaps of stuff to find that one gem...shoes also make an outfit so I would buy a couple of nice tops and a decent pair if summer dandies if u don't have any.

I've actually got a couple of nice tops in M&S lately and v cheap. They are fitted-ish but with a bit of draping, so pretty flattering. They are sleeveless so you can wear a slightly longer cardigan or shirt over them, as in your OP.

On a slight tangent, you can get custom-made orthotics for £80-100 which realign the bones in your feet and relieve bunions. If you started with that and could wear the shoes you want and not be in pain, it might make the wardrobe bit easier to sort. Clothes-wise, the Boden sale is always good for a bargain + lots of colour. Also Pepperberry is good for larger busts and they also have lots of sale items.

For shoes, try Gabor sandals - some of them are actually reasonably decent looking and they are v v comfortable.
