My shoes fart when I walk, how do I stop them?

Just that really.

They are like these.

Any tips on how to stop my feet trumping? It's embarrassing in a quiet office!

(the noise appears to be from air caught between the sole of my foot and the sandal, not from the shoe itself)

On the plus side, when if you do fart you can shout "It's me shoes!" and get away with it.

Thanks Roxy! Grin

(I actually do have a touch of IBS that means I fart when I eat chocolate - so I'll be able to eat some and blame my shoes!)

I hate it when fitflops fart/trump/bottie burp? It's very rude. Grin

Spraying some anti-persirant on the soles of your feet may well solve it.

Good morning, so I need some help! I have two pairs of really super cute sandals I am super embarrassed to wear either pair. It sounds like I am farting when I walk and it's only these specific sandals. The reason I bought another pair of the same brand which would be" White Mountain"is because I thought maybe it was just that pair of sandals not the brand of sandals, but yes they both do it. I truly need some help because I want to wear the sandals outside of the house because, they are really super cute. One of them has braided leather going across it but anyways! I need help with this situation?! What maybe can I put in my shoes ? It's between the arch of my foot and the sandal. Is there anything I can do or is it a lost cause? I'm thinking it's because I have really high arches in my foot. My feet are not flat by far. Please!!! I need some help!BlushShock giving them away or throwing them away is not an option I've only wore one pair one time and the other pair I just bought. And I can't text him back either because I got buy one get one half off and my daughter has already wore her sandals outside of the house so taking it back is not an option either.

You could try an inner sole. I think scholl do gel ones. I think. you can get gel ones for just the balls of the feet.

I have no advice but want to know - did you search farting shoes to find this (6 year old) thread?

I had a pair of ankle boots that squeaked constantly. They were so squeaky it was embaressing. Think that it was a fault of trapped air in the heel. I tried everything. They weren't cheap either, they were Hudson ones. In the end I wrote to the company and I returned them and they refunded the amount. I was glad to send them back.

Yes I googled farting sandles and yes, there 6 yr old thread popped up! But honestly I couldn't find anything else. So, I guess, I'm going to have to live with farting sandles 😂 But I have realized that if you make the sandle lose on the foot it reduces the embarrassment.

My trusty, cherry, cute and comfy Birkie Madrids are consigned to garden shufflers due to their offensive sounds. They are 9 summers long so I think the cork bed must be deteriorating Sad. I hope my DDs are as kind to me ...

Too funny! Yes! I have the same White Mountain footbed sandals with the braid. I just bought a black pair and a tan pair. I love them so much, but THEY FART! I'm embarrassed to go out in public. What is going on!? Haha

Get the stick in Scholl gel liners - they're transparent. I have them in sandals for comfort. The ones for flat shoes are better than the ones for sandals or heeled shoes.

OKAY! So I had this problem for years too and finally went googling for a solution. Only found old threads like this one where people apparently still come looking for answers, and I have a solution! (Works for me at least):

I took one sheet of baby wipes and put it in my sandal so it’s between my foot and the sandal, and it works!
It’s super thin so it won’t change the shaping of the sole to your foot either, and it’s dries up quickly. Haven’t tried it for a whole day though, but I think it’s better for your foot (and shoe) than tissue paper. Hope it helps somebody!
