does an epilator exist that removes ALL hair?

i bought an epilator 6 months or so ago - not a vastly expensive one, it was a silk epil 3 - and while i like the results much better than shaving it always misses some hair no matter how many times i go over the same patch.

i use it for legs and underarms (underarm hurts but the result is worth it!) but i figure it would hurt less if i didnt have to keep going over the same bit over and over!

i have seen ones on amazon which cost considerably more than mine did but claim to get all the hair - even those very short hairs.

does anyone have an epilator that gets all the hair without missing the odd one?

there is one on Amazon which gets really good reviews but its costly - its a wet or dry one though and the reviews are so good someone even accused on reviewer of working for Braun!

its about £88.....thats the only drawback and a lot to lay out if it doesnt work!

I have the expensive wet/dry one with built in razor. I really like it and for me it was worth every penny, because I used to get my legs waxed and it quickly paid for itself! (before waxing I used a regular epilator but didn't like it)

Here's why I like it:

  1. I don't get ingrowns (the razor exfoliates)
  2. If you follow the instructions you get quite a long time between uses, for me it's about 4 weeks
  3. It's really, really fast because the razor picks up the left behind hairs so you never have to drive it over the same patch.

BUT it does this because of the razor, so it is a mix between epilating and shaving. Because i live in a hot climate I was finding that I couldn't epilate often enough (ie, the hair would grow back but not be long enough to epilate again, or patches would get left behind and the whole thing took ages).

It has also solved my ingrown problems. I suppose in theory you might not get all the benefits of epilating but personally I wouldn't go back to a regular one.

It's this one. www.amazon.co.uk/Braun-Silk-%C3%A9pil-Epilator-Gillette-Technology/dp/B004EEXR94/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1337655906&sr=8-3&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21
