Help me find a nice dress?

DH and I are going away for my birthday next month, to the hotel we got married in - posh dinners and all that. I really don't have anything to wear - it's truly remarkably how I never have anything to wear for any event other than going to work or lolling about the house. I did have a pretty nice LBD from Bravissimo but I lost weight and now it's too big, doesn't really do anything for me.

I'm not after anything amazing, in fact if it's a bit anonymous I would feel better about wearing it for dinner both nights! Sad really ... Anyway, I'm 5'4", size 12 on the bottom and 14 on the top (or still a 16 in some styles, 32G boobs, a Bravissimo 12SC). I find it's rare anything with an underbust seam fits me properly, unless it's specialist, so that rules a lot of stuff out. I think I can still get away with wearing black (the weekend away is for my 40th), but day to day tend to wear grey instead; I also wear a lot of purple and bright pink. Oh, and my hair will be dark purple again by then (just as soon as I get an hour to myself in the bathroom).

Any thoughts? I'd pay up to £150 for something really nice, but cheaper is better.

I've just seen this on another thread, Don'tcallmebaby, and I think it's gorgeous ( but it might not be at all what you're looking for ) m.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_54510+201660351_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EWomen%7EDresses
Have you looked on Asos too ? I am elderly but have bought some verrrrry nice ( and cheapish ) dresses from there.
You probably need some S&B expert like Tethers ...

Ooh, that's quite nice. We have a Phase Eight locally - I think the answer may be 'get off arse and into town' (I'm a terror for internet shopping out of pure laziness). :)
