Grey Fuzzy bits, what to do?

Help,

I'm 34 and just started going a bit grey at the temples

It's the texture that's bothering me, my hair is light brown so the actual grey isn't too noticeable, it's the texture. Like short grey wiry pubes, springing out and making my hair look really messy.

I use serum and conditioner all the time but am at a loss really.

I've never had highlights, would they help?

go to a good colourist and see what they think. You can get highlights and also a bit of dye at the roots. the texture can't really be changed but it may bother you less.
