want to get niece, soon to be 13, a scarf for Christmas, spending about £10/15. Looked in shops a bit but don't really know what will be trendy enough for her. Nice ones in monsoon accessorize but cost too much. Any suggestions? Would the pink floral version of the MN scarf be suitable do you think? Thanks

New Look sell lots of scarves, my DD is 11 and would buy one of each if I'd let her!

Or you could try Claire's Accessories, or even Primark, although they're pretty under budget at about £4/£5 each. They do some lovely ones though.

The floral scarf sounds like something my DD would like though! I have the purple leopard print MN scarf, and DD frequently steals borrows it from me.

Thanks for replying, mrsmeow. I'm going to order the purple mn scarf, thanks for the suggestion :)

I have managed to buy Marc Jacobs scarves for only £20 off of 'The Outnet.com', the sale site of Net-a-Porter. i bo

I have bought 6 of them and they have served me well for various teenage birthdays (and two for me!).

Check the site out daily for bargains as they come in. and they wrap things up beautifully- a Marc Jacobs bag for my sis arrived in big black box tied with ribbon. DSis wants to live in the box it was that luxe...

Glad to help- they have Marc Jacobs sunglasses reduced to £45-55 at moment plus Antik Batik scarves and if you like Marni thy have quite a few of their skirts at ridiculously reduced prices-£40-70. Marni skirts can be anything up to £800.

Have also bought a beautiful Marni shell pink silk satin dress for DD for £70. S so beautiful, I'd wear it to marry in!

Juicy Couture sweaters and cardigans are also well priced as is N Peal Cashmere and J Crew separates.

As a scarf addict, it is very very bad that I now know about the outnet's range.... will be checking this out later, thanks for the tip.

I know....T'is a modern day dilemma whether to put folks onto that website Grin.

You'll need to go through the terrible ordeal of checking it once daily or every other day or so as new stock comes in all the time.

Scarf arrived today... But it's not the one I thought I ordered. I thought it was purple, black & White but it's more purple, navy & pink. mrsmeow, which one is it your dd steals borrows? Think dn will like this one? other problem is I like it so much myself that I want to keep it

I got my niece a hat in Accessorize that had been £15 but was half-price, it seems like the sale has started already.

(I see you have one already but someone else might benefit from the info)

Sale in accessorize? Don't tempt me!

Mine is purple, grey and pink - but nicer than it sounds when written down, honestly! To be honest, it's not so much the colour that DD likes I don't think, more the style, because it's quite big iyswim, so looks "in" according to her. I just love the colour Grin

I'm sure your DN will be over the moon :) I'd be chuffed with another one, might treat myself after Xmas actually.

Accessorize sale?

Oh I am glad! I had an unfortunate mishap with a long armed monkey with velcro hands getting stuck to my scarf and making loads of pulls across it, so have HAD to give it to DD and buy myself another (any excuse!)

Hope you had a good Christmas :)

PS, if you're interested, I got a scarf from Primark yesterday that is the same in terms of size, totally different pattern but looks the same style when on.

Also, they have the 'MN' scarf in red, in New Look :) I almost bought it but changed my mind, wish I had now though!
