I'd really like to buy one of these bright coats that make you look fab in winter - I saw a mum at school this morning in a pink one and though wow!

Anyway, I already have:-
A green school run coat which I'm growing tired of - it's sort of parka / rain mac type thing
A beige knee length trench coat - great for most things but a bit long for casual
A long grey woollen smart coat - for posh occasions
A fur jacket - for Christmas / winter parties
A black leather jacket which I love and adore even though black isn't one of my colours

As I have a couple of posh coats and a couple of going out coast I think what I'm looking for is really a more every day wear coat that will go with jeans but that I can also wear to the office (very informal and pretty casual office)

I think the best colours will be:-
Navy blue
purple
pink
teal? Not sure about this one?

I'm a summer if that helps

I think it needs to be longer than waist length but no longer than thigh length and probably needs a decent hood.

Has anyone seen something lovely that fits the bill
budget - ummmmmmm well ideally I guess I'd like to pay under £100 but could go more.

I have this one coat which I really like. Not sure how many winters it'll do as it's entirely man-made, but I've been wearing it with jeans and also smart stuff.

that is nice 2mb, I like the style - not sure about the two big pockets as I am far arsed pear shaped and so supposed to stay away from any details around that area that might make it look bigger.

Might be worth trying it on. They're kind of on the front so don't really stick out to the sides. Sometimes if I get coats which arrive with the pockets sewn down, I leave them like that so that I don't fill them with stuff. These weren't sewn up but you could always sew them yourself. I just bought a tunic from Boden with pockets on the front right in the middle so have left these sewn up to avoid temptation!
