Help me turn up to my first Iyengar Yoga lesson not looking like a buffoon

I am a beginner, but due to health reasons (largely my silly back) I have committed to a longterm yoga class. What on earth looks good or more to the point will help me blend in!

Leggings (not see through)
Long sleeves cotton fitted top
Vest top underneath so that when you get warm to can take off the top layer

Where is the yoga class? City or small town?

If you go to a small town cheap class, you can wear any old baggage. Seriously. And nearly everyone will be over 55.

I have looked ultra chic at my class just by wearing black jazz pant things and a tight-fitting stretch t-shirt.

Painted toenails a MUST.

Agree with pointydog that pedicure more important than clothing :)

I wear leggings and harems from Hush, coupled with cheapie vests. Remember to take either a hoody or a nice warm knit (Tesco's cashmere jumpers are perfect) and socks to wear during the closing meditation - usually in savasana (corpse pose) - otherwise you will get cold. Even if you get really warm in your class you should still get dressed for this ending to the practice. My ashtanga teacher explains it thus: when you make rice, you cover it with a tea towel to retain the heat and keep it fresh & good :)

Stretchy trousers and a top. Nobody will care what you look like.

Thanks all - ps I care what I look like, hence my post. Great excuse for cashmere jumper purchasing x
