To vary your current look without going outside your comfort zone, you could wear tunics over skinny jeans or leggings.
For dresses, Dorothy Perkins might be a good place to start?they have lots and they're quite cheap, so it wouldn't cost you too much to experiment a bit and find out what you like and what suits you.
But what colours/styles appeal to you? Roughly what size and shape are you? Whicj bits of you would you like to show off or hide?

Would second the longer top/tunic with jeans/leggings look. Have you got some good boots for winter?

For scarves most of my hijabi friends are doing a two tone look with an under scarf/bonnet in one colour with a contrasting colour as the main scarf. Adding pretty hijab pins on the side or getting the double plaited head bands (primark a couple of quid) and putting them over just peeping through.

To be honest I haven't seen anyone wear a dress since the weather turned!
