A question about Next

I've seen a few really nice things for DD that I want to get from Next. The website seems to only allow you to buy if you set up a credit account. I don't really want to do that.

Does anyone know if you can order into store? There's a store near my work but it's only small so I doubt they'll have everything I want in stock. Can I ask them to order it in?

Thanks

They should order it for you - I used to ring up my local next with the item numbers from the website and they'd order it in for me and I'd collect and pay in store.

I always found they were very good at doing this.

i think you can get things delivered to the store and therefore avoid the delivery charge, but I think you still end up with a credit account and they will send you the catalogue and bill you for it every season, so be careful.

Might be worth phoning a particular store and asking if they can order/reserve you something in particular.

You can definitely go into the store, and get them to order in there for you. You'll need to pay upfront, and collect from the store, but I've done that recently without using my Next account. HTH

I don't have a credit account with them and always use my credit or debit card to pay online. You can choose to have it delivered to store when you buy online and then you don't have to pay P&P.

You can also phone up next directory customer services and pay in advance and have the items delivered to your home(for a charge) or to a store (free) without setting up a credit account. returns are still free. if you phone them they are quite helpful. You dont have to have a credit account.

Thanks. That's really helpful. I might take the item code numbers into the local branch at lunchtime and ask if they can order in for me. If that doesn't work I'll call up the directory and see if I can do it that way without setting up a credit account.
