Unisex snowsuit for baby due in December

Every snow-suit I find is either pink or blue and/or blatantly gendered. I don't know the sex of bump yet and I just want a cute, nice snow-suit, preferably not the type that are just warm and fluffy but one that might keep dry if there is a snowstorm when we leave hospital (unlikely I know but snow if featuring high in my dreams at the moment!)

Any suggestions?

Hi, I went for the baby nomade here in turqoise. Lots of benefits over a snow suit in my opinion...It's fleece so is a bit water repellent, washes easily and doesn't mark.... Also I found with my two that little babies hate hate hate being pulled in and out of snow suits, and they hate the spread eagle shape that it pushes them into, they much prefer to be curled/cocooned up...Also it helps you mangage their temperature very easily as you can gently unwrap a layer (for example if you do inside to a shop. We used it in buggy, car seat house etc... couldn't recomend highly enough. The pics don't show but the legs are shaped and the rest is two layers of thick fleece....

I bought this one for a friend. They have other unisex ones too.

Also try mothercare.

just wanted to add, that you shouldn't use a snowsuit, or any other coat, in a car seat. they're too padded to be able to pull the straps tight enough and in an accident can easily compress and make the harness too loose enabling the child to be thrown free.

if you have a pram with a carrycot, or a pushchair with a cosytoes you are, IMO, unlikely to need a snowsuit (i say this as someone with 2 winter babies and several beautiful unused snowsuits!!)

Would agree about snowsuits, never used them but had lovely polarfleece all in ones from JoJoMamanBebe for my dts and they were lovely and so easy to use. Or any fleece all in one really but JoJo's are gorgeous.

Teacup, I have a cherry red snowsuit that I got from eBay but never used that you can have if you like? It's really lovely with multicoloured polka dots inside and in good condition. Just a thought as I'm trying to shift ds's newborn stuff! pm me with your address if you're interested.

Hmmm sure I posted on here again but it has disappeared! Odd

Thanks for the advice everyone. We will be staying in a cottage near my parents' farm so will be walking down there with little one in a sling, hopefully. Snowsuit for this or still fleece?

I always used a snowsuit for things like that, when walking with a sling or when walking with her in the carrycot. TBH I found it a lot easier with a snowsuit. Fleeces and foot muff type things are good for when you're going in and out of shops or something like that so you don't have to faff about taking their clothes off inside.

i think the jojo fleece would be much nicer in a sling tbh. simply because they aren't as bulky. and I guess it depends how you are going to sling them too.
if you have baby against you and a coat around you both then just a little jacket will be fine on baby. but if you'll have sling/baby on over the top of your coat then obv baby will need something warmer.
but yes, the jojo polartec fleece suits are incredibly warm and would be great in the sling
