Hi

Just wondering if anyone has tried Liz earles cleanse and polish and also the cheaper alternatives. If so is there really much difference?

Used the no7 cleansing polish for the second time tonight and whilst it's nice I'm not overwhelmed to be honest!

Also notice tesco do a bnatural organic cleanser which you use a muslin cloth with that done old threads recommend.

Normally use no7 wipes or body shop vitamin e range but skin needs a boost at mo- pregnancy bloom has eluded me so far!

I love Liz Earle C&P. The light moisturiser is nice too.

I've just bought some of the superskin concentrate today and used it for the first time - it smells amazing.

I use LE C&P when I've worn make-up which isn't often TBH.

The rest of the time I use Philosophy (exfoliating wash -microdelivery) in the shower or the cleansing lotion (the name escapes me) at night with a muslin.

The C&P in a pump lasts for ages and because it's airtight, it doesn't go 'off'.

I get mine from QVC because I CBA don't have time to go round shops now.

I've used C&P and tried the oil cleansing method in the last 6 months. Was underwhelmed by both. I'm using This Works, Clean Skin at the moment £17 though and it is lovely. Creamy like C&P - you can wash off or do the cloth thing and is smells devine. Really like it and will buy another bottle when this finishes.

Used to use it and get fed up with a cloth lying around.
I now use a range called organic surge which I get in my ocado shop.
It is divine
I have dry and sensitive skin. This range is cheap too!
I think LE is way over hyped and I get to try lots of overpriced overhyped tat endless beauty stuff thru my work

C&P here. Love the stuff. Order from QVC for their money back guarantee but delivery is quicker from her own site

Have used both the £££Eve Lom one and the Liz Earle and much prefer the Liz Earle one, also bought a Boots Organics one which I found too greasy.

Superdrug have one in their vitamin E range which i have yet to test. I use my Eve Lom one as a treat and love it. Use the Boots one because i got them cheap because of the five pound off vouchers. If you want to try Liz Earle i think. You can get va small sized one with cloth in a little pouch quite cheaply.

I used the Tesco one a year or two ago in a moment of budgeting madness and despite having very unsensitive robust skin it BURNED like buggery. In the bin it went.

I use the Boots one as it only costs £4 with the voucher. I find it just as good as the LE one.

Used to use it but have been oil cleansing for over a year now. Can't say I've had the amazing results of others, but definitely no worse (maybe a little better?) and miles cheaper.

Thank you everyone. Think I will ask for a trial pack from
Liz Earle for Xmas to see if it's much better than the no7 for the extra money. In the meanwhile going to use up all my other products so can't justify trying the others!

May also cut up a baby muslin as the one from boots seems a bit rubbish.

I love liz earle one but I think the cloths are over priced so I buy the pack of 7 flannels from kids bit in Ikea and use then chuck in the wash>> they wash up so much better than the c and p cloths.

Liz Earle C&P is amazing. I had perfect skin that went absolutely haywire when I had a miscarriage (stress?) - having had about 3 spots in my life it was a shock to say the least. I spent about 6 months trying loads of products (probably didn't help to be honest) and then found C&P - within a couple of weeks my skin was considerably clearer and within a month it was back to normal. I now use the whole range religiously and will never use another!

I use the Liz Earle, it lasts for absolutely ages, I think I got the 100mls to start with and it came with a muslin cloth anyway.

The sanctuary also do this type of cleanser and I preferred theirs. Also easier to get hold of! Whatever you decide, hope it works for you.

Never heard of Liz Earle. I suspect, though, that any product coming from her will be ridiculously expensive.....!
It's always the same with these named products. like Body Shop etc......

I buy facial moisturiser from Aldi - at £1.99p a pot. Lasts for months!

I occasionaly indulge in a full cleanse, with face-pack, but I never pay more than 99p for a pack.
The rest of the time, I wash my face each morning with soap and the same in the shower of an evening.

I'm not obssessed with my looks.

Don't discount LE because you don't think it is easy to get hold of. It is now in most John Lewis Stores and if you order online it is usually with you the next day.

You don't have to be obsessed with your looks by using products over 99p.

For information, I have recently tried both the Elemis and Decleor equivalents. Back to LE.

It is good for shaving too!

Why does wanting a cleanser that works for your skin make you obsessed with your looks? That's great that you can use soap and leave it at that. If I use soap my eczema flares up appallingly and my skin is agony. So I use a product that works for me instead. Doesn't make me obsessed Hmm

I thik the tesco one has been discontinued

If anyone knows to the contrary let me know

I've just gone back to the full LE routine - cleanser, toner, and moisturiser - after my skin sensitivity/mild rosacea flared up with No7 P&P Intense. Went from rashy red spots to pale smoothness in about 48 hours. It's not cheap, but it feels as if I've had a facial every morning and night; definitely worth it for me.

It's not at all expensive - and you can get it on QVC and return it if you don't like it //www.qvcuk.com

Can I just draw your attention to the Todays Special value on Saturday is going to be Liz Earle.

I have a 200ml tube for £18 or something - it lasted me an entire year - you only need a couple of pea size amounts.

I used to use Eve Lom and it was good but I prefer Liz Earle.

lilolilmanchester · 13/10/2011 22:49

another C&P fan here. It lasts for ages as you just need a little squirt. Worth checking the liz earle website, QVC isn't always cheaper. Once you've tried it and if you like it, cheaper to buy the 3 pack.

Megfox, wanting your skin to look nice doesn't mean you're obsessed with your looks... I use Aldi moisturizer because I like it and it suits my skin.

(tho just noticed Laurie's note re QVC's Today's Special Value... will take a look!)
