Hi Everyone,

Has anyone tried this please? I am interested in this but all the reviews seem to come from the actual company and I'd like to know if anyone has actually given it a go, and if so what you thought of it?

Thanks :)

It's a diet type thing, that involves listening to a cd daily and changing your relationship with food, I suppose like a kind of self hypnosis really

How much money is it? Because if its lots you'd be better off actually using the money to see a hypnotist/eating specialist as they can tailor it to your own "issues" so to speak...

Yes probably, I just wondered if anyone had actually bought/tried it and what they thought, the concept is very interesting.

www.theslimgirlsboxofsecrets.com

Presented as a step-by-step formula consisting of two high quality DVDs, two professionally recorded CDs and a beautifully bound reference book - The first DVD explains exactly how everything works and demonstrates the simple behaviour remapping process with a real subject, whilst two professionally recorded CDs are the 'real key secret' and are used regularly to remap and modify the subconscious behaviours that lead to overeating and food cravings.

The accompanying book explains the whole process in detail and acts as a 'handbook' for the system ... as well as providing amazing exercises to increase relaxation, self confidence and motivation. The second DVD demonstrates some simple movements which can boost your metabolic rate and hence speed up your weight loss as well as naturally toning your body, whilst the package is completed with a unique 'style kit' that you can begin using immediately, that will enable you to always make the best of your appearance from the very instant you open the box.

Doesn't sound like much for £60 Hmm

I don't know anything about the slim girls box of secrets, but I have tried the paul mckenna version. I paid £40 for 6 CDs, and I have to say they worked. After my DD I needed to lose a couple of stones and with paul mckenna CDS I did. Basically the main rules are;

  1. Only eat when you are hungry. Alot of the times we eat when we are bored or comfort eat.
  2. Stop eating when you are full, eventhough your plate may have food on it.
  3. Eat what you want to eat, not what you think you should be eating; ( rabbit food)

For Me this method really worked, as I said I lost 2 stones after having DD. He also tals about different techniques to do, when you have a craving for chocolate, one of them was to actually keep smelling the chocolate, and somehow it puts you off eating it.

Have heard good things about Paul McKenna. Haven't tried it but there are threads about it in the Big/Slim/Whatever section on Mumsnet. Some people are just using a book I believe.
