- and don't know what I'm doing.

I have huge norks and will need them out at times for bfing.
I have a very flabby tummy.
I'd like something with a flared skirt and a v neck or a scoop neck. I think.
Mock wrap dress maybe? (not real wrap as they are too low for me usually, unless you know better!)
Would prefer the sort of dress you would wear to a christening to the sort of dress you wear to a dinner dance.

I tried this from Boden:

And it was much too low, my norks were taking over the world and there is no way I can find a bra plungey enough not to show. (also it was unflatteringly baggy everywhere except the norks but that is just because I am out of proportion - would a wrap-esque dress help with this?)

I tried this:

and it looked like a sack on me, too high necked, saggy and baggy.

It is dawning on me that perhaps they are also too long shoulder - waist for me, perhaps I should try petite (dur) - I am 5'4".

If anyone can help, I'd be thrilled.
Not nuts about Boden per se, just thought I'd try as my last Boden dress fitted really well (between babies, much neater figure)

Thankyou so much style gurus!

jade dorothy perkins

petite purple

Any good?

vezzie Wed 05-Oct-11 20:06:43

The DP purple one maybe - the other two I don't think (jersey too clingy on the flab, the print a bit too Pat Butcher on one who is chunkier than she should be) (fab dress though, wish I could wear it)

I shall have another look

And thank you for my flowers grin

Any better?

That top one is fully lined so maybe.
I think maybe they are a bit short for me though.
hmmmm thin belts are kryptonite for the jelly belly aren't they...

Just as well you're here, as no one else has shown up [scoffs nuts and olives put out for non existent guests]

Thanks tethersend but they feel a little too severe; and a little too difficult to wear for me (that lovely cape one for instance requires a year of pilates from my current condition)

I might convert to a religion which requires extreme modesty.

I don't usually go with 'celebrity' dress ranges, but have you considered looking at the Holly Willoughy range? She is curvy and has designed some of the stuff to be v forgiving.

Another black.

Nice colour and quite forgiving.

Think this could look great on.
