didldidi Wed 05-Oct-11 19:38:43

could it be any tackier?

noddyholder Wed 05-Oct-11 19:40:25

The styling is awful but for 35 it has promise if my 1985 one can't cope at teh seams grin

LynetteScavo Wed 05-Oct-11 19:41:48

But it's only £35 and people who go into prostitution usually don't have a lot of spare cash.

MissBeehiving Wed 05-Oct-11 19:43:49

and it is wipe clean wink

noddyholder Wed 05-Oct-11 19:44:38

This also shocking

Had seen it looking lovely in some magazine and then saw it on m&s site.

noddyholder Wed 05-Oct-11 19:48:36

this is better

MissBeehiving Wed 05-Oct-11 19:49:23

Be honest Annette is it what you wore on QT?

booyhoo Wed 05-Oct-11 19:50:27

it's the shoes that are the problem.

MissBeehiving Wed 05-Oct-11 19:51:07

Did you ever find a levver skirt Mrs CB?

MrsCampbellBlack Wed 05-Oct-11 19:55:05

No - although boden one on its way. I have tried so many that am actually sick of them now smile

MissBeehiving Wed 05-Oct-11 19:57:42

It's tiresome when that happens - takes the shine off a new purchase a bit. I'm sure your perseverence will be rewarded though smile

Ew. What is it with all these leather skirts atm? I blame that Beyonce. That Mango one is quite nice if you're 25 with legs like a young gazelle, but for the the rest of us? Really? I also noticed this one, a snip at 300 of your pounds sterling on the Mary Portas site, which looks like a bin liner. And not in an 80s Debby Harry good way. midnightexpress, warrior princess.

Jesus wept. Have they ever MET anyone who shopped in M&S? Or should that be S&M...?

AnyoneButLulu Wed 05-Oct-11 20:10:44

Shortlist had a load of nice looking leather skirts today. I am now of that age where instead of thinking "Ooh, I'll buy one of those" I think "Ooh, I've got one of those, it's in wardrobe C, filed under 1997".

Suede mid-calf A line, should be fine with heels I think.

They also had lots of pointy toed stiletto ankle boots - I've got some of those in the back of the wardrobe too, in a rather pleasing gunmetal shade, but I haven't worn them for years because they're so dated. Do you think I could wear them now? And what with? Sorry for veering wildly off topic.

a wearer begs to differ...

A fantastic skirt

I've just ordered this (fake) leather one from Miss Selfridge

Saw it in Heat magazine on some bint from TOWIE a couple of weeks ago, and she was wearing a teal blouse with it and nude platforms. First time in ages I've looked at an outfit and thought "I like that"! So thought I'd go for it and see what it's like.

Have just re-read previous paragraph and decided there is no hope for me... I'm going to be MUTTON aren't I? grin

didldidi Wed 05-Oct-11 20:50:58

actually nogood I like that one!
