(i saw a lovely one in h and m - but it isnt online - for £99 but it is only in PALE grey - which i dont think i really want

I got a black wool military type belted coat a few years ago. It was from Gap, £98 and still going strong! They have similar things every year.

I got one this in Tk Maxx and it is really nice - £79 dark grey (darker than photo) and 80% wool
