Wardrobe size - how many clothes do you have?

I seem to have loads of clothes that I keep 'just in case' but never really wear. I am contemplating having a big throw out and investing in a few quality pieces.
Are you a hoarder or someone who has 'key pieces'?

No hoarding here anymore :) I chuck stuff into charity bags that are always coming through the letter box. Anything faded, torn, mystery holes binned hang stuff the wrong way round in your wardrobe if its not worn within 3 months its not going to be worn. I only buy stuff now that I really love instead of impluse bargin buys.
Key pieces nah got none of those LOL. When I go shopping if I buy a top I think mmm will this match up with anything I already have if not I have a look for something to go with it.

My wardrobe rail actually collapsed the other day under the weight of everything so I had to have a clear out. I'm going to buy some of those vacuum storage bag things to put away anything I don't wear but don't want to get rid of. I aspire to be someone who has 'key pieces' but at 43 I don't think it's ever going to happen.

Way way way too many, and I seem to dislike most of them. Stony broke at the minute though, so looks like I'm stuck with them!

4 double wardrobes ... and then there's the chests of drawers. It seems a lot, but, somehow seems to be made up of 'key pieces' Blush

Tooooooo many, I get a piece of clothing be it a top or whatever every week, and sometimes just wear it the once.

dp and I (both women) share 1 wardrobe and 1 chest of drawers. That's it - although it's a pretty big wardrobe and chest of drawers but I reckon we don't have enough clothes, frankly Grin

Bit of a hoarder
One wardrobe but it's a massive 3 door one that runs the length of the wall and it's pretty much full Blush
And that's just for me

1/2 an average wardrobe and then a chest of drawers

I chuck out stuff regularly but that usually cos it's worn out

A double wardrobe, 4 drawers and lots of boxes under the bed. I seem to buy clothes for mysterious events like the possibility of going out to the theatre which are just not going to happen.

Since I discovered Ebay, I have sold around £400 or more of clothes over 3 years- things like Boden fetch a good price.

No I don't hoard. haven't got space anyway but can's stand clutter.

I have half a bult in wardrobe and 2 shelves above the hanging space, and a chest of drawers. the spare room is where I keep my coats mainly as we have no space in the hall for hanging coats.

I am usually fretting over having nothing to wear as I pare my clothes down to the bare minimum. eg- 4-5 pairs casual trousers inc jeans, 1 smart pair, 2 smart skirts, a couple of dresses and numerous cardi sand T shirts.

I got tired of buying smart clothes as my lifestyle is smart casual, so now I only buy things that I know I will wear to death.

One freestanding single wardrobe with two half rails, one rail for me, one for dp, three big drawers each. When I buy something new, something old has to go, to make room for it.

I love it on holiday, when you've packed just the stuff you like and that fits. Sometimes I think I should go home and throw the rest out Grin

Oooh, all you non-hoarders are inspiring me, am going to go and binbag clothes I don't love, for the charity shop, right now! Plus we're moving in a couple of weeks and it'll be less to pack Wink

1 fitted wardrobe about 7 foot in length, 7 drawers, then whatever clothes are out of season go into the loft Blush

Clothes (and books) are the only things I hoard although I am trying to send bags to charity shops, have sent about 6 so far.....
Have 2 wardrobes, 1 clothes rail (for coats), and 1 chest of drawers. ~Keep my best shoes in clear boxes, have about 15 of them, plus about 4 pairs of 'good' boots, the rest are kept in basket things in the spare wardrobe.

I've got 2 double wardrobes rammed full of stuff. Plus 3 drawers and 2 under bed drawers.

I need to have a clear out, really, really need to bite the bullet and do it. If I don't love it it needs to go!
