I need some classy (but inexpensive workwear) - where should I look?

I yearn for LK Bennett and Hobbs but can't justify paying their prices unless heavily discounted!!!

I'm in urgent need of some new work clothes as I'm just relying on a few staple outfits at the moment. I work in a corporate office environment and need to look relatively smart.

I've had a look on M&S but can't see anything of interest in my size (10).

Has anyone seen anything of interest or any ideas re other shops/sites I could try?

COS - they have just launched on line and have some lovely stuff.

Have you tried the Hobbs Outlet online? I've got some lovely there. A beautiful work dress for £50 and a lovely wool pencil skirt for £40. Worth a look.

M&S can have a few good bits and bobs too.

And Gap has some ok work stuff (plain black trousers etc) as has Banana Republic and they've both got sales on.

Try Oasis, cheap compared to Hobbs!

Have you tried Kew, not the new season, extortionate prices since changing their name to Kew 159, but some basic staples on the kew clearance web pages, I bought 2 dresses for work, for £22 and £25

As Rosa says there are online outlets, where you can buy stuff for a lot less. eBay has outlet shops for LK Bennett, Pied a Terre and loads more that sell nice work stuff.

Second Oasis, some really nice smart things in there.

Phase 8 has some nice work stuff and has a sale on at the moment. (Particularly good for tops to wear with suits)

The Hobbs outlet bit is excellent and their delivery service is v good.
