I was chuffed to get a pair of brown leather boots, reduced to £32 down from £110. Got an email this morning to say due to limited stock they can't complete the order. WTF! How can they not update their stock status on the internet? It's not rocket science is it?

Oh i have had this too. It is like someone giving you a lovely present and then whipping it away again.

Bastards.

Yes, Office have done this TWICE to me before. Very unimpressed.

Happens to me all the time, I am constantly dissapointed by online stock control software. Not just office, lots of sites. Pah! I once thought I'd got a £200 pushchair for £75 or something, and website showed 8 in stock but....

Heh! I got the same message this morning about fab boots I'd ordered.

To make matters worse, I got my other pair of bargain Office shoes last night and they are the smallest size eight in the universe, don't fit, no size 9 and will have to go back grrrrrr.

Celia are you talking about the brown Elsa boots? I ordered and got them yesterday, unfortunately I can't get my ginormous hooves into the itsy bitsy tiny boots that they claim to be a seven.

I could post them to you ?

I refuse to buy shoes from Orifice any more because a) loads of them are shit quality, b) when you take them back and say, look, look at the quality of this, it's got strange little gritty lumps in the paint all over it' they say 'it's fashion, it's supposed to be distressed' and refuse to pay your shipping to return the bloody things.

Which were clearly manufactured in a gravel pit.

I hate Office. I hate them and they also have shit stock control, as you have discovered. Ditch them, vote with your wallet.

Interesting MrsBlarney - I rarely get shoes from Office, as their biggest size is too small for me. I did manage to squeeze into some block-heeled broages I loved last winter and the heel was completly worn down after I'd worn them 4 times. Had to make a big "Pregnant woman with impatient toddler" fuss to get my money back, but I did.

I've gotten that email twice, but what really bugs the hell out of me is that selecting the ACTUAL size you want is impossible.
Select 'Size 5' and then a page full of size 3, size 7, and possibly a couple of size 5s.
What the actual fuck?

trixy and switch thanks so much for the offer, but I daren't take the risk in case they don't fit me either. Hey ho, I'll search for another bargain!

Celia, mine have arrived and I'm keeping them, the 7 is a perfect fit a 6 would have been too small, you definitely need to size up with office shoes.

If it's any consolation I like them, but don't love them, if they'd been full price I would prob have sent them back, but will do for £32.

Thanks, trixy that does make me feel a bit better. Grin

I agree trixy, they are just a bit daintly looking (but if they had fitted me i'd have kept them). I might get the topshop ebay ones that were one another thread instead.
