No these were no good at all.
Worn by the sort of woman who would buy an appliqued tiered skirt form Per Una and call it 'jazzy'. <shoots self>

I'm drawn back to one of your original suggestions.

But I want a high heel, square toe and close fit dammit. Is it too much to ask.

PS I am loathing suede boots I think. Doesn't it go all scuzzy and faded?

"PS I am loathing suede boots I think. Doesn't it go all scuzzy and faded?"

Yes. I will never bother again. Unless it is for occassion shoes/boots that I expect to rarely wear.

moondog Tue 20-Sep-11 17:23:04

Nowt to do with current quest but v v v nice.

fishie Tue 20-Sep-11 17:27:58

COS have got some like that but not as high. suede is ok if you treat it when new and keep it clean. and not black, it goes greenish.

Fimbo Tue 20-Sep-11 17:44:39

I am slightly in love with these, but alas would like a fat giraffe.

neuroticmumof3 Tue 20-Sep-11 19:44:54

I like the original boots. I don't like Per Una appliqued skirts though.

moondog Tue 20-Sep-11 20:44:16

Fimbo, that's a cracking pair of boots.

tethersend Tue 20-Sep-11 21:02:58

Ah Moondog- shame the office ones were no good. I'm still looking you haunt my dreams ...

Too thin a heel?

Then I started looking at the pricier end:

Yoox

Unusual, pricy, square toe

Only small sizes (How can I not know what size you are!?)

1. I love it!
No, can work a heel

2. Cool bit of a 60s vibe

3. OMFG <whispers> Remember the gladiator sandal

4. Too small (51/2 since you ask)

5. Hmm. When does 60s vibe become Mum at Tesco?

I will beat say goodnight to the children and look at 1 again.
Promising. V promising.

LOVE those Asos wedges- want something like that myself but not as high... Have you got a pic of the Cos ones fishie?

tethersend Tue 20-Sep-11 21:23:26

Hahaha, I hate number three too, but you have to throw a wild card in there from time to time grin

Am still looking. And always will be.

moondog Tue 20-Sep-11 22:14:48

I can rely on you Tether me old mucker.
Frankly we would all be lost without your uncanny ability to sniff out just what we seek.

Would that I could one day return the favour to such a sartorial inspiration.

Hi tether
It is me with the broken ankle and the back zip boots!
I am now wearing one of your suggestions! I love them and am so grateful for your help.
Thanks.

Bellavita Tue 20-Sep-11 22:20:47

Mint Velvet ones nicer than first pair.

Fimbo, those boots are fab.

I have a pair of suede boots - had them forever, still look new. Just don't wear them in the rain! And spray them often with suede protector.

moondog Tue 20-Sep-11 22:21:11

I really think 2 is the one but wrong bloody size!

tethersend Tue 20-Sep-11 22:38:25

Aw, shucks you guys...blush

tethersend Thu 22-Sep-11 16:28:27

Moondog, are over-the knee too much?

These caught my eye...

tethersend Thu 22-Sep-11 16:28:49
