Applying make up without bright daylight - help

We have recently restored our home and now live lol in the 'roof', and esp going into the winter I am not going to be able to put my makeup on at the window. How do you get the best lighting to do yours, do you use a special mirror, or one with lights round? Dont want to scare people when I leave the house.
