I can imagine wearing it whilst sipping Mai Tai's at Raffles Hotel in Singapore. Not that I will ever have the opportunity to do that, but it's nice to imagine.

Does anybody else like it? And what shoes would you wear with it?

It looks cheap to me, sorry. A bit Primark.

Oooh i like the dress, but i do not like the sleeves reminds me of a bat, however if you want to talk about beautiful dresses this dress is sooo beautiful i totally love it. I am going to suggest that my soon to bride friend chooses it for her bridesmaids (of which i am one) so i can get it and wear it.

Primark??!? How very dare you grin

Teeny that dress is too die for!
Lala that dress would be nice if you are brunette and tan.

Paschaelina Sat 10-Sep-11 13:55:50

Bit halloweeney

LaLaLaLayla Sat 10-Sep-11 13:57:22

I am blonde and very tanned.

I wold love Laa's dress - exactly the right color and shape for me (am your classic British pear shape, brunette, very 'autumn' colouring) I'd wear it wit heels - don't know what colour. I think that the arms would look great on. Teeny's dress is gorgeos but would look frankly ridiulous on me, for all the same reasons!

I've been to Raffles. It's also gorgeous! smile (but I ddn't have a Singapore Sling)

How about everyone else? Share your favourite dresses!

I misread that as whilst 'stripping' in Raffles so was slightly disappointed by the dress grin

i love the red dress, but not the grey!

But it's polyester. All sticky and sweaty. Every time anyone links to a lovely dress, they're polyester.

greedygoose Sat 10-Sep-11 15:52:11

but still not sure I would suit this colour?

BeaOnSea Sat 10-Sep-11 17:03:22

Sorry OP - I don't like it and agree that it looks cheap.

I don't think it even looks good on the model and I have a rule of thumb - if something doesn't look good on a model, it'll look a bugger on me grin

Oh, just looked properly and it's the lining that's polyester. Anyway, no, doesn't look like a £140 dress. Sorry.

LaLaLaLayla Sat 10-Sep-11 17:07:06

That's a really, really pretty dress greedygoose. What colouring do you have?

RollingInTheAisles Sat 10-Sep-11 17:09:05

It's nice but Raffles is nothing special and your shes would get ruined crunching all the peanut shells on the floor. Plus you'd end up with a big cardigan over the top because the air con is arctic smile

swingingcat Sat 10-Sep-11 17:17:51

Don't like any of the dresses, sorry!
Monsoon one reminds me of Abigail's Party! Moonstone dress reminds me of something we made in Dressmaking back in 1980 and the yellow tunic is blergh.

Monsoon one reminds me of Abigail's Party!

That's exactly the look I'm going for grin

MordechaiVanunu Sat 10-Sep-11 17:48:34

LOVE the dress in the OP.

Abigails party is a great look.

Oh dear. I don't like that red Monsoon thing at all, sorry.
