Is leopard print a very bad idea?

I really fancy some leopard print shoes or boots to wear with jeans or a black dress and opaques. But I don't want to look like Bet Lynch circa 1980. Any thoughts?

I think some people can wear it and some can't.

I daren't wear leopard print in case I get poached. Grin

Shoes or boots will be fine though! Smile

I saw a gorgeous sheer leopard print pussy bow blouse somewhere on the High Street. I thought, 'I'll be back to get that'. Damned if I can remember where I bloody saw it though!

Leopard is the way ahead so la fashionistas keep telling me in all the mags....

I have THE Ebay scarf, some gorgeous peep toe heels, a clutch bag, and am hankering after a belt.

Less is more with animal imo.

lifesabeech I'm imagining some hideous Jodie Marsh type ensemble with me wearing nothing but some strategically placed giraffe print ribbon. Not a pretty thought I can tell you.

I am very much tempted by the Ebay scarf as well. I wouldn't consider anything bigger than shoes/scarf/belt or similar so maybe Julie Goodyear can rest easy.

leopard print is fab, as long as its not all over, or too slutty.

It's fine so long as you don't team it with huge gold earrings and a beehive.

WARNING DAILY MAIL LINK I have the Reiss coat in the middle and love it Smile

Am I the only one who doesn't rate the ebay scarf?

I bought it last year after the recommendation on here, and I think the fabric feels horrible - really cheap. I'm happy with it as it only cost a tenner, so I think it's value for money, but I have a £20 one from Zara which is soft and lovely and looks 100 x better.

I love leopard print but not all over.

I do frequently wear (not all at once)

  • one of 2 leopard print cardigans
  • leopard print belt
  • leopard print shoes (x2)
  • one of 4 scarves and really want the LV one
  • leopard print clutch
  • and a grey leopard print dress

Gosh - thats quite a bit isn't it Wink

I love love love leopard or really any animal print but sadly a lot of the time it doesnt love meSad Being blonde and largeish of nork it is all too easy to look bet lynch-a-like.
Bought 2 lovely scarves in h&m yesterday-grey and tan leopard print. Am also lusting after shoes and bag from Dune.

You can't wear leopard print if you are blonde. That's just the way it is.

I have e v expensive leopard print coat - I absolutely adored it. My DH says I look like a prossie in it. It hasn't been worn in quite a while.

I LOVE animal print and agree that it's basically a neutral now. I think one item at a time is plenty, and I like to dress it down as much as possible e.g. wear my fake leopard jacket with Converse or a sheer leopard shirt with jeans and flats. But go for your life!

I'm blonde and I wear Leopard print and I think it looks ok. I have a belt, scalf and shoes. Thinking of going for a cardigan next.
