Apple shape?

I thought I was an apple but now I'm not sure - I'll let you ladies decide!

I am 5ft 8", take a size 14 bottom, size 16 top due to 34gg boobs. I have a bit of a waist, loads of gut, particularly down the front of my torso. Gut is seriously resistant to diet or exercise Angry. Hips are in proportion. Quite large, round peachy bottom. Fairly slim arms and legs, especially wrists and ankles.

Apple or hourglass? Or something completely different? Wink

You sound a similar shape to me, and I call myself an apple

I always think an apple has hips which appear rather slim compared to upper body iyswim. Rather than in proportion which to me is more hour glass? Also think apples tend to have flatter bums?? Hence the upper half seems much larger in comparison. I could be wrong though!

I can't work myself out either but because of my tummy think of myself as an apple. 5'7, small in the bust, slim of hip, skinny legs, size 10 (probably an 8 if it weren't for my tummy) but my tummy sticks out as though I was 16-20 weeks pregnant. To make matters worse, when I sit it's decidedly squishy Blush, squeeze me into jeans which stay up on my waist and I have the dreaded muffin top, size up and the jeans fall down or are too big on the hips, bum and thighs. Square that! Grin

I'm an apple for sure, always have been.

I'm quite broad shouldered, have narrow hips and slim legs. Big tummy Sad

I've always thought - this is just going by the people I know, not scientific at all! - that a true apple never has a big bum.

I've been everything from an 8 to a 16 (currently 14 but fast becoming a 12 thanks to the gym) but my arse has remained steadfastly the same. Certain men in my life have even gone so far as to point this out to me (er, cheers).

Sorry to echo what gillybobs said - my hips aren't really in proportion - my shoulders are wider than my hips and noticably so if you look closely.
