What to wear on feet with maxi skirt in winter?

These days I'm living in a long black maxi jersey skirt, as I'm 34wks pregnant with terrible SPD and the waistband on it is the only thing that I still find comfortable to wear, apart from PJs! I'm wearing Fitflops (good for SPD and easy to get on without bending over) with it and they have been great all summer. Probably stuck wearing them til baby arrives as ankles swollen, can't bend over to get socks/tights on etc etc. I expect to be wearing this skirt still for a few weeks/months after birth, and am having CS, so again, soft waistband will be comfortable over scar....but can't wear flipflops in late Oct, Nov/Dec...... so what do you suggest will go with it? I never feel right in maxi skirt & boots....am I just imagining that it doesn't look right? I'm guessing someone might suggest pumps/ballerinas? Don't have any....problem there is that I have very narrow heels and have never found a pair that stay on my feet without slipping up and down....
Sorry if this sounds like a bit of a long rambling sob story, but I really am stuck and would greatly appreciate advice!! Thanks.

Maybe these.
SPD is really crap but it really does go away once you've had the baby.

THanks for the suggestions. I have biker-ish boots, will see how they look with it. Like the idea of clogs, and I know they will be comfortable, but ££.
(btw eppp, not too hopeful about SPD disappearing straightaway, it didn't with DC1, I seem to be one of the unfortunate ones, but at least I know it won't be as bad as it is now, I will still be able to get on with life....)

This sort of boot? (available much cheaper elsewhere) If Toast think it looks good I can't disagree more than one view

How about some flat brogue style ankle boots (sorry link won't work - google tesco F+F Brogue Worker Boot). I have them and they have a zip at the side so you don't have to faff with the laces, but you can also let them out to fit your ankles.
Also v v cheap and surprisingly comfy.
I'd use a shoe-horn and a hook on a stick to help get them on and do the zip up without bending.

Do you have someone who could help you out? It's hard enough to do shoes at this stage, but SPD is grim

thanks, ladies. I like those brogues, autumnwitch...and I think they are similar to my biker-ish style boots (only mine are a higher boot). After seeing pics of maxi skirts with the link higgle supplied, I think boots are going to look ok with my skirt...will be warm too. And I don't have to hunt for a new pair of shoes, so I'm happy!
(Thanks for the sympathies, I'm shamelessly accepting all sympathy and offers of help at this stage. I have a very kind relative who comes once a week to help with heavier household tasks and DH is very good when he's not at work. But he's gone when I'm getting dressed every day, and I'm not going to get up any earlier to get dressed while he's still here....the day is long enough as it is when one's housebound!)
