Do stylish slippers exist?

If so, I can't find them!

I'd like something to keep my feet warm and toasty - but that don't make me look ridiculous.

Last year I had furry boot things which were fab as they kept my ankles warm too. DP and everyone hated them... but 'normal' slippers don't keep my ankles warm so a boot style works best for me. I really don't want to go down the slipper sock route as they remind me of being a very unstylish teenager - correct me if I'm wrong and they are back in vogue!

Any ideas?

I bought Ugg outdoor boots copies to wear indoors as slippers - but pop outside to feed the chickens in them too.

I have some pretty flowered satin mule type slippers which MIL bought me ages ago, but I try and save those to take away with me as heavy wear would ruin them. I wear them if we have people round for dinner too :)

Other than that I have ballerina type slippers, but have lost one in the house somewhere Angry.

I don't think slippers can be particularly stylish/sexy though, I go for cosy and not too little old lady...

I have North Face tent mules which are very cozy for winter.

I like the sound of the German ones, and will check out the North Face ones too - thanks!

I would rather have 'indoors' slippers than ones I can pop out in, I found last year because I could do that they tracked dirt back in. The Swedish house shoes also sound intriguing.

Muji's house shoes/slippers are lovely - soft and cushiony, and in neutral tones, striped or plain. Also only about a tenner!
